My hero needs tickets (long)

DiggThis

Uncle Judson is my hero. Growing up in the black belt farmland of Marengo County, he played high school ball in the late 40's/early 50's at Thomaston High School... He coached at Uniontown and later at Sweetwater....He along with most of the rest of my family followed and watched in person when we could as Thomaston High School won a state championship in 1967. The "little green men" beat all comers in that magical season including a previously undefeated 2A Linden team, a strong 3A team from Evergreen and finally by whipping Valley Head in the championship game. Words cannot describe....It mattered....and to those that were there...it still does.
Uncle Judson moved to Roswell, NM in the early 70's and served the majority of his career there. It would take a book... but suffice to say that his students and players loved him. They still do. He never lost his connection to Bama football, and even at that great distance, the folks in Roswell understand better the importance Bama's recent rise to the top. Some of them, like many of us, even believe that global warming will reverse, the stock market will return to normal, and the war on terror will have a happy ending....all because that piece of the universe that has been missing is now back in place. Bama is #1. And they may not end up there...but they very well might...but regardless, they are back among the elite....and life is as it should be.
And now.............FINALLY....to the point. The man who would call long distance and ask his mother to lay the receiver on the phone to hear the broadcasts back in the 70's...is coming to Tuscaloosa for the Auburn game. "If I can get some tickets" he said, "that would be nice, but if we don't we'll just tailgate and enjoy the company....but if it works out, I'd like to go in..."
Now understand folks, he is driving with his wife and daughter from Roswell NM to tailgate...and perhaps get into the game. He's my hero.
If anyone has tickets.....2 would be a blessing.............8 would be a gift straight from the almighty.........
It's a longshot I know.......if we get them that would be great...but if not, at least I could share a story that needed telling......Thanks for "listening"
