Hotel??

Share

Hea Guys, I just won 2 tickets from work to the 'Bama vs Tenn-Chattanooga game on 11-21. I get the day off before and the day off after to enjoy Tuscaloosa.

What hotel should I stay in?? I've never been to a game in Tuscaloosa.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!!

Re: Hotel??

Dallas: At this point, I don't think you can afford to be too picky! If I were you -- I'd start calling the hotels immediately on the list below. The Hampton's, Holiday Inn's, etc. are sure to be sold out at this point. I'd also use their direct #, not 800 #'s.

We've stayed in most all of these hotels at one time or another over the years. One that may be an option is the Best Western Park Plaza (there are two on McFarland, we like this one). The rooms are clean, but nothing great. However, if you're like us, we're in the room long enough to sleep & that's about it! That particular Best Western has an O'Charleys in front of it. Also try Country Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield Inn, Jameson Inn.

My least fav's are: Guest Lodge, Masters, Microtel, Super 8 and Super 6.

Tuscaloosa Accomodations. Remember, the local area code is #205.

Just booked it for Best Western Park Plaza Manor at 3801 McFarland per your post / they had rooms.

Re: Hotel??

I think you'll be happy there for the amount of time you'll be spending in the room! The added bonus is being able to walk to O'Charleys from your room. Once you're on McFarland, just look for the O'Charleys, and the hotel is right behind it! You're probably no more than 4 miles from the stadium.

Re: Hotel??

Thanks!

So, what else is there to do? Anything on Friday night? Any places I need to see??

I was a KA at my college, so I thought about trying to find the KA house and going by and meeting those guys.

Re: Hotel??

On gameday, you certainly need to go to the quad before the game & visit Denny Chimes. Try to visit the Bryant Museum while there -- think its open from 9-4 each day. If you're an early riser, go to the Waysider for Breakfast

Here's a older thread that lists suggestions for things to do in T-Town!
