6. Kentucky4-81-76. Mississippi State2-100-8
SEC Champion: Florida over LSU

RANKTEAMANALYSIS
1FloridaToo much talent, too much experience. SEC dominance continues.
2USCLots of holes to replace, but so what? The PAC-10 can’t touch them.
3TexasRed River Shootout may again determine who faces Florida if USC slips up.
4Ohio StateBuckeyes are the class of an especially weak Big Ten.
5OklahomaAll the pieces are there, but this team needs to stop stalling in the postseason.
6LSUBayou Bengals are sleeper team amongst the big boys.
7Penn StateNittany Lions’ title hopes hinge on just two games in otherwise soft schedule.
8Virginia TechHokies’ defense should allow them to mow down most of a soft ACC.
9AlabamaCrimson Tide will sneak up on no one. Season depends on offense’s execution.
10Oklahoma StateQuietly one of the most well stocked teams in the country.
11CaliforniaGolden Bears have little competition for second place behind USC.
12Ole MissTen wins should equal Rebels’ highest ranking in years.
13Florida StateCould be underrated given Seminoles’ experience. Bowden’s last hurrah?
14NebraskaCornhuskers’ return to respectability makes Big 12 a loaded conference.
15North CarolinaIt’s not going to take Butch Davis long to make the Tarheels a feared power.
16Michigan StateBlue-collar Spartans are poised for breakout year, and schedule helps.
17Georgia TechMost of the offense returns, and few opponents know how to handle it.
18UtahOffense must be rebuilt, and schedule toughens.
19Boise StateLaughable schedule should help overcome the fact team is rebuilding.
20TCUHorned Frogs seem perpetually unfazed by effects of graduation on roster.
21OregonCrucial transition year for Ducks as Chip Kelly takes over as head coach.
22GeorgiaBlasé offense, concerns about team psyche mean tough year for Bulldogs.
23KansasCould be the surprise team of the Big 12, but the road is tough.
24West VirginiaOffense is rebuilding, but Mountaineers have little competition in Big East.
25MiamiHurricanes are just now seeing fruits of purge and rebuilding efforts.
And five others that might get into the discussion …
TEAMANALYSIS
IowaHawkeyes are an upset or two away from nine or 10 wins.
Notre DameCharlie Weis is fighting for his job, and schedule is favorable.
Oregon StateOffense will score points, but defense is porous.
BYUCougars are fast getting back to reloading rather than rebuilding years.
ArkansasHogs need a few bounces, and if they do, a national ranking awaits.
