Share

On the EA Sports website they have released the player rankings for the top 25 teams for the new ncaa 09 video game. They have also released the top 25 team ratings. Both of these items can be downloaded as excel spreadsheets. Its worth a look. Here are links:
http://www.easports.com/ncaa09/news....player_ratings

Here are some notable player rankings:
Julio #81- 85 overall, 89 speed, he's behind stover and mccoy at wr, he's the highest ranked freshman that i saw. ( terrell pryor was 84 overall)

i'm not sure what numbers the other freshmen are. can yall help me identify them?

Why is Antoine Caldwell positioned at RT? Ratings seem to be very generous. I would have liked to have seen Corey Smith and what kicker ratings he had.

Re: NCAA 09 video game player ratings

They sure are high on Georgia -- overall 99, offense 99, defense 99. Only other team with those numbers is Ohio State, followed by Oklahoma with 96-99-94. No one else is even close.

They rank the SEC like this:

Team-Overall-Off-Def
Georgia-99-99-99
Florida-94-96-94
LSU-91-88-96
Tennessee-89-88-92
South Carolina-89-86-92
Ole Miss-84-86-87
Alabama-84-88-82
Auburn-84-83-87
Arkansas-79-79-82
Kentucky-77-77-82
Miss St-74-75-78
Vandy-72-75-71

Obviously we don't know the player numbers just yet, nor does EA Sports, so the numbers are just made up. That makes it a bit hard to narrow it down, but I'll give a few scenarios:

CB #35: Alonzo Lawrence / Robby Green
CB #9: Alonzo Lawrence / Robby Green

FS #45: Mark Barron

QB #13: Star Jackson

RT #79: Tyler Love

Aside from that, it's pretty dang tough to say. If you had the height and weight numbers you could figure out who it was a bit more, but until you get your hands on those, it's going to be fairly speculative.

It should be noted, however, that we have 22 true freshman in the game. That's just an unreal number, and it really shows you how much better this recruiting class is for us. In the past, I cannot remember us having over five guys.

Re: NCAA 09 video game player ratings

Pretty fair rankings from my review. Like the fact that Andre is a 97 - only 3 players in the country with higher scores than his and no O-lineman.
