Bama Hockey #8 in final rankings before playoffs
The Bama hockey team is now #8 in the 4th and final South Region rankings before the ACHA playoffs start in Feb. The Tide beat #7 Clemson twice this weekend by 3-2 and 9-5 scores to finish out their home schedule 12-0. The Frozen Tide currently have a twelve game winning streak and are 17-5. This weekend the Tide will play Arkansas & South Carolina in Georgia and the following weekend play 2 games at Arkansas. Hopefully a berth in the ACHA South Region tournament in Atlanta will be the following weekend. The top four teams in the South Regionals will go to the National Tournament in New York. Also if I'm not mistaken, although it is not on the Bama site...the SEC Championship Tournament is being held in Pelham last weekend in Feb.
