Softball - Cathedral City Classic - Day 1

Share

No radio or internet stream for either game.

2:30 PM CT - Alabama (8-0) vs BYU (6-5) GameTracker
8:00 PM CT - Alabama (8-0) vs Oregon (5-5) GameTracker

A quick stats comparison shows Bama with better team batting & slugging averages, team fielding percentages, and team pitching ERAs.

Bama will need to adjust to BYU catcher Jessica Purcell who has thrown out 8 of 11 steal attempts and picked 5 other runners off base. Most dangerous hitters appear to be BYU's Jessica Purcell (5 HRs) and Oregon's Monique Fuiava (6 HRs).

They haven't dodged anyone either. As early as it is, they have played Tennessee, Washington and Michigan; all were losses but they came to play.

Like I said this tournament is going to be a major test, early, for the ladies in crimson and white.

Almost game time, if the games are on time, which I doubt.

1-0 Bama middle of the 3rd.
Ashley is one great catcher...she probably threw her out from her knees...

Re: Softball - Cathedral City Classic - Day 1

Boccia walked, Fenton in for a pinch runner. I see a steal coming good catcher vs good speed we shall see...

Nope Morgan walked, two on no out...

Montalvo up, will he try to bunt the runners up? Kelley has good power and she likes ducks on the pond.
