Re: Softball - Easton Challenge - Day 1

U-Dub wins 1-0 on a bases loaded passed ball in the bottom of the 8th.

Baylor's Whitney Canion is out-pitched U-Dub's Danielle Lawrie thru 7 innings (15 Ks to 7 for Lawrie), but couldn't pitch her way out of an 8th inning jamb where Lawrie pitched out of several jambs.

Baylor's All-American Brette Reagan suffered a knee injury while changing directions on the base paths. No word yet on how serious it is, but she had to be helped off the field. Update, she is standing in the dugout and supporting her team, which is encouraging.

Re: Softball - Easton Challenge - Day 1

Georgia jumps on top of Baylor in the top of the 1st with a lead-off triple by Schlopy followed by a SAC fly. Dawgs add 2 more on a 2 run HR by Sandberg in the top of the 2nd.

Baylor answers with a lead-off HR by Hanafin.

Georgia is putting the Bears away, adding 7 runs in the 3rd and 2 more in the 5th. This one will be over soon.

Final: 12-1 Georgia (5 innings)
