Softball Sweep #6 Ranked Georgia

Share

Bama softball finally got through the toughest stretch of their SEC schedule and they did it in style.

On March 18 the #2 softball team traveled to Baton Rouge to play, the always tough, LSU Tigers and surprisingly lost both ends of a doubleheader. Then just ten days later they again traveled into enemy territory this time facing off against the #1 ranked Florida Gators. This was a big time match up between two of the top teams in the nation. The series ended with Florida taking two of three, giving Bama four SEC losses in just two weeks.

Less than a week later the team was scheduled to face the #6 ranked Georgia Bulldogs in what could only be seen as a critical series for them in the SEC.

They came through in style, sweeping all three games from a very tough Bulldog team. This restored their position in the SEC and, without a doubt, secured their #4 national ranking.

Congratulations ladies, way to come through in the clutch with the pressure on. That is the mark of true champions.

RTR!
