Bama Softball Set NCAA Record
With 5 double plays in a single game. Its hard enought to turn 1 double play in a softball game, even 2 would be something. But 5 is really something. Bama advance to the Super Regional by beating Texas 7-0. We will host Jacksonville State who beat out Tennessee sometime between Thursday & Sunday.

Awesome feat when you consider that there are only 60 foot base paths in softball, not 90 feet like baseball. The average runner gets down the line in about 3 seconds and the fastest less than 2.5 seconds...unbelievable defensive stat when you consider the speed of the game.
