I have not seen an updated list of the remaining guys everyone thinks we get by NSD. Does anyone have a good list?

I think it would be:

CJ Mosley LB

1 or 2 of these guys depending on other players
Arie K OL
J STone OL
S Coleman OL

2 of these guys
J Fulton DB
M Harris DB
D Menzie DB, but he looks to be UT bound

Others mentioned still
C Dunkley WR, prob UF bound also unless someone decoomits do not see another WR in this class

A Dixon S, but with our depth doubt it, but I think the coaches would make room for him

J Hicks LB would love to have him, but prob Ohie State

A Hubbard DE this one will be interesting. His stock has really gone up

G King DE prob Oregon bound

There might be a few others, but I think these are most of them.

Do you guys think we will target more LB's next year? We seem to be after speed, speed, and more speed this year. I always like it when we have plenty of linemen and LB's, though. It is amazing how good Saban and this staff are at assembling talent and developing talent. It is really getting fun again. I am now ready for some championships. No, I'm not like Auburn; I don't count western division championships. The western division title is just a means to an end. SEC and national titles are the only ones that count to me. Roll Tide!

I think it would be:

CJ Mosley LB....He already has a new Crimson backpack and notebooks and new pencils with little :BigA:'s all over them.

1 or 2 of these guys depending on other players
Arie K OL*****and his brother for next yr(would be huge)
J STone OL(we get him as well I don't care what the recruiting sites
say it is another #1-#2 recruiting class IMO.
S Coleman OL

1 of these guys
J Fulton DB(regardless of what is printed up I think it is 50/50
stay home with MAMA, not a bad thing, or play for a NC
contender) Fulton comes LOCK down the #1 class
M Harris DB(if Fulton stays at home)

A Hubbard DE this one will be interesting. His stock has really gone up(as I have said before, you don't get an offer from Saban this late in the yr with the limited space we have left for nothing, he is raw but he is HUGE and fast)

Tweaked a little ;)

:BigA: Prater is now a soft verbal with USC and had Ala listed as college choices on Scout! Could Sims still be working the kid and the failure of USC at the end have him changing his mind?

That'd be interesting, but the staff seems to like K. Allen as a WR rather than safety, so I think we'll shore up the rest of the class by filling needs (2 DB's) and 1-2 more OL. CJ Moseley seems to be ours to lose as well. It'd be awesome to add Prater but I bet he sticks with USC in the end (no info, just a guess on my part).

It looks like A Dixon might not be an option either now. I do not think we were going strong after him, but he was supposed to visit for the UTC game. This past weekend he went on an official to UT and apparantly he will go back for an unofficial to UT for the Vandy game with his mother the same weekend as the UTC game.

We already have 25 commits counting the three grey shirts from last year. Not sure how this is going to work with only three to give and not room for the ones we already have on board without major attrition again. Any thoughts on how it will work out?

You always have the possibility that a few players decommit. We still have 3 months to NSD so anything can happen.

Barring no decommits there are other situations out there. One W Love got hurt, and even though the outlook is good for his recovery and is expected back to play, I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a grayshirt for the fall and enroll for spring 2011. Also I not sure if we take B Lewis. Others on here have also hinted at that. From what I read him and D Bolton were suppose to redshirt this season at JUCO. Only Bolton did that and Lewis is playing. That tells me two things. First the coaches weren't to impressed with his freshman season and wanted to him play agian this fall. Second that him playing will allow other schools to look at him if he does not end up at UA. So if these two things happen with Love and Lewis we actually only have 20 coming in so far. But I am just speculating.

I believe there is a strong possibility that two of the grey shirts can be back counted to the 2009 class.

I haven't been diligent in following up on this, but I'm not certain the greyshirts will have to count against the SECs new 27 rule since they already signed an LOI.

We will still have to count them against the 85, however.

Lots to sort out, and I'm not overly concerned about how we will get it done. Like I've always said, I don't count the JUCOs until it is certain they either 1) graduate in December or 2) sign an LOI. Too many variables, and I'm not certain we can count on Lewis, yet. Bolton, I'm fairly certain will be here.

Wilson Love could delay enrollment if the leg hampers any conditioning work next summer.

Remaining targets in this class are fairly small in number...

Still think we get 1 or 2 OL in Arie K, Stone, or Coleman.

I think we'd like to add Hubbard at DE.

We will add Mosley at LB.

Harris or Fulton at CB, and possibly both.

A Dixon (S): What happened with him. I was excited to see him pull away a bit from Oregon. Is this a done deal? Have we cooled on him after the recent commitment(s)? I would think he would have a spot if interested. Can anyone fill me in. I am very disapointed not to see his name on BET's list. He usually is spot on.:frown:

I definitely think we need a DE/DL or 2. Also a couple of OL. Hubbard looks like a good specimen to develop and James Stone and Shon Coleman would be big gets.

We are after Arie a lot harder than Stone or Coleman....we are waiting for Arie's decision. We won't take both Stone and Coleman unless Arie goes elsewhere, if Arie chooses BAMA then we will only take 1 of the of the other 2, either Stone or Coleman. Arie and Fulton are now tied for #1 on our board. Anyone after these 2 is just cake....

Really? I thought Stone has been our #1 OL for a long while now. Coleman is definitely our #3 though and I've heard that he's a lock to switch if we need him.

No Arie Kouandjio is the #1 OL on our board and has been for a while now, then Stone, then Coleman. And yes it seems Coleman is an offer away from being in Crimson.

I am pretty sure we will greyshirt a couple this year. I mean who saw Petey Smith greyshirting??? There are several candidates.

I agree, and furthermore I'd bet that we've got at least one greyshirt this year (perhaps more), and that has already been discussed with their families. This stuff really happens at the time of commitment, by and large, it's just that there's no reason to go running and shouting it from the rooftops.

And actually, remember last year when I was speculating on why Petey Smith kept delaying his decision? Hindsight 20/20, the real issue was that he was debating a 'Bama greyshirt offer with regular offers from Auburn, Tennessee, and others. Of course we didn't know that at the time, but that is how it turned out.

Anyway, I imagine that Wilson Love is a greyshirt now. I thought there was a pretty good chance he would greyshirt anyway, but after the leg injury I think that's almost a given now. I'd actually be a tad bit surprised if he reported next August.
