1) Collect evidence (done)I guess my question is, what should we have done? How should it have gone? In your justice system, what would you do differently? Was justice done? No. Did the justice system work exactly as it should? Yes. Better Casey Anthony go free than lynch mobs and media circuses decide guilt and innocence.
I agree with what you are saying. It is not a perfect system but it is the best system in the world, IMO. The biggest thing I did not like about this trial (other than quite possibly the jury) was how the defense attorney said the things about her father that he had no proof of. I do not know if it is true or not but when he made the statement about the type of sex that would take place before Casey went to school seemed a bit much to me since he had no proof of it. If my sister was on trial and her defense attorney said that about our father, I would be in jail for contempt of court after the outburst I would have had.I guess my question is, what should we have done? I agree. It seems that the media and others forget that there is a burden of proof placed on the prosecution. As bad as I hate to see someone who obviously had something to do with it go free, the thought of putting someone to death based on emotions and the theories of probability is just as sickening. The prosecution should have either provided a more convincing case or pursued a more certain conviction of a lesser offense.I guess my question is, what should we have done? How should it have gone? No better example of the silliness surrounding this trial: 'Caylee's Law' petition drive: Do missing child laws need to change? - Yahoo! News2 Great posts. I agree 100%
I say we settle it with a cage match between Nancy Grace and Casey Anthony. I believe ol' Nancy can take her.:wink:I guess my question is, what should we have done? How should it have gone? Who wouldn't lose that match? I mean, who wants to get close enough to touch her?I say we settle it with a cage match between Nancy Grace and Casey Anthony. I believe ol' Nancy can take her.
I believe Nancy would tear into her like a duck on a june bug, and would welcome the chance.Who wouldn't lose that match? I mean, who wants to get close enough to touch her?
Ha! That's an interesting choice for her. Apparently she doesn't know how strict Texas is.I heard today that Casey will be moving to Houston, Texas after she's released. She better be careful who she murders there, cause Texans don't put up with murderers out there.
Nude with jelloI say we settle it with a cage match between Nancy Grace and Casey Anthony. I believe ol' Nancy can take her.
She will fit right inI heard today that Casey will be moving to Houston, Texas after she's released. She better be careful who she murders there, cause Texans don't put up with murderers out there.
No one in their right mind wants to see a nude Nancy Grace!Nude with jello
As a former prosecutor, I can assure that #4 without #5 gets you nowhere.1) Collect evidence (done)
2) Build a case against the likeliest suspect (done)
3) Charge the suspect with the crime you can prove (questionable)
4) Prove that the defendant is a despicable human being (done)
5) Prove that the defendant is guilty of the crime he/she is charged with (questionable)
#4 was more important to the prosecution.
#5 was apparently more important to this jury
I don't want that thought in my head within 24 hours before or after a meal!No one in their right mind wants to see a nude Nancy Grace!
I forgot to add she needs a bag on her headNo one in their right mind wants to see a nude Nancy Grace!
There's no one in their right mind on this board. But, I prefer pudding. 240 dollars worth, to be exact. Ahhhhh yeahhhhh! No one in their right mind wants to see a nude Nancy Grace!
Caylee's Law would be totally unfair. I mean, you have to give a parent time to actually notice that their child is missing. 31 days seems reasonable. No better example of the silliness surrounding this trial: 'Caylee's Law' petition drive: Do missing child laws need to change? - Yahoo! News
Petition drive to get two new Federal crimes on the books for parents who don't report their kids missing or deceased within a certain time frame.
Over-react much? Here is a good alternative: Why not do a better job of prosecuting people who look to be pretty guilty all by themselves?
This is the kind of knee-jerk response that gave this country the infinitesimally-stupid "Department of Homeland Security".
