Funny how they think we were so exposed last week. I know people want us to lose (and I'm ok with that because if other teams like your team it usually means you're noton top) but they are disregarding so much other stuff on this.

No one wants to talk about how much more physical from top to bottome both Alabama and LSU are and so on.

What are the headlines if Alabama takes aTm behind the woodshed? " Oh, well Alabama was playing at home and Johnny football is just a freshman so you should expect aTm to lose in Tuscaloosa" --- Alabama fan: " But before the game you were saying how Alabama was exposed and Johnny Football was gonna run/pass all over Alabama" ---- ESPN Analyst (Desmond Howard) " Nothing to see here. Move along --- hey producer guy erase the footage from this morning".

I don't see the big deal. While "exposed" may be a little strong, our issues in coverage, esp with respect Belue and Sunseri, is nothing new. They've both been inconsistent at best in coverage all year.

At the end of the day ... is giving up 17 points on the road in a night game to a dangerous and physical opponent who you embarrassed in the national championship game just 8 months ago ... being exposed? The media and fan story lines are too predictable. Frankly, one of my surprises last week was how we averaged 6.6 yards per carry. Was that exposing LSU's weakness against the run? Or, more likely, illustrating the strength of our offensive line.
Roll Tide

VirginiaTide -- My sentiments exactly. I'm not upset about the coverage. Was actually laughing at how many other factors they don't mention. I know they're looking for ratings and all. It really is hillarious.

Hey - what else they gonna talk about?

USC is finished, Notre Dame was lucky, Oklahoma ain't winning it, and all their non-AQs have gone down. That leaves Oregon, where it's 7 am and most were out late and K-State where nobody lives.

What - besides Alabama - can they talk about & keep fans tuned in?

LSU played it's finest game of the year with a huge crowd behind them and their championship dreams on the line.
They gave us everything they had and we still pulled it out.
To me the only thing that was exposed is that we're even better than I thought we were.
sip

There's that word again: "exposed". It occurs almost as much as the word "stuns" does on the red carpet. It is a cliche too often tossed about today, much of the time coming from those who can't make a critical analysis of a situation. It is a superficial observation to say something was "exposed".

that's why i don't watch the 4-letter network's pregame show. other than herbstreit they're a group of tools.

17 points on 85 plays is being "exposed"?

In 2009 we were "exposed" vs Tennessee AND Auburn. Maybe Ole Miss too. But that season ended very well IMO! So we had a tough game on the road vs a top 5 team. I'd like to see another team play at LSU (at night), get out played for 3 quarters, lose the turnover battle.....and STILL WIN!

ESPN College Game Day (10 NOV 12)

Episode Title: Exposed.

Summary: After winning in a stadium where the previous 22 vistors all failed to win, Alabama is without a doubt proven one of the weakest contenders in the nation.

This will make it sweeter when we win easily today. Guess they know the next two weeks are cupcake games for us. So they need all the talk right now till the SECCG.

Exactly. If you had told me before the game started that LSU was going to play their best game of the season to date and we were going to play our worst, I'd have fully expected to lose.

The fact that we still won despite all that shows me we're even better than I expected.

Good one, RGW. I guess my whole point to this is the lack of real sports reporting and programs relying too much on sensationalism. All of these people are bringing up one thing and that's the passing yards. Myself, I wouldn't really care if they had 600 passing yards. The stat that matters most is whether or not at the end of the game do you have a W or L in the collum by this game.

Pollack said worst defense in the last four years? Ok, I agree that our defense is not as good as last year...of course. But worst than 2010? Not so sure..

They are giving Corso heck right now for saying Alabama hasn't played anyone yet and using score comparisions for Oregon but not Notre Dame to justify ranking them over Alabama while dogging Alabama for barely winning last week. Lol.

I saw that but don't remember his exact words. Did he say least talented, or worst?

If he said worst I'd disagree, if he said least talented, I might agree. 2010 didn't perform as well as I had hoped, but they were probably more talented overall.

Maybe he said least talented..I just got the tail end of it.

Just goes to show they enjoy the controversy. Corso is smart enough to realize that scoring 62 on USC doesn't mean as much as it did 5 or 6 years ago. Plus he completely ignored the fact that USC scored 51 on Oregon. Corso may be old and losing his touch, but he knows what he said is ludicrous.

Pollack's true colors have come out the last few weeks. I used to like his commentary, but it looks like he's joined the ranks of the haters. Let 'em hate. Makes the wins that much sweeter.
