Here's my prediction regarding the Playoff Committee's 1st Vote on the Rankings:

1 Florida State = 7 - 0
2 Mississippi State = 7 - 0
3 Notre Dame = 6 - 1
4 Oregon = 7 - 1
5 Auburn = 6 - 1
6 Ole Miss = 7 - 1
7 Alabama = 7 – 1
8 Michigan State = 7 – 1
9 Kansas State 6 – 1
10 TCU = 6 - 1

They may put in another PAC 12 team in the top 10.

I'm looking forward, I think, to the Playoff Committees 1st ranking so that we can critique it.

My prediction of top 4 committee ranking : Mississippi State, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn

IMO 7-9 can be in any order, but I think first two out are going to be ND and a One loss Big 12 team. I just dont see them voting on the best 4 teams. I also think they may use this as a statement on their criteria so expect a lower half top 10 placement.

what it should be

That looks about like what I expect. When the final four comes out, I'll be shocked if it's not made up entirely of conference champions and ND, assuming ND wins out. IMO, if we have four teams that have one loss or less and are conference champions (or ND), there won't be two teams from any conference. They'll take the easy way out.

I really hate the Notre Dame factor. But they will be in the top 4, IMO.

1. MSU
2. FSU
3. Notre Dame
4. Oregon
5. Alabama
6. Auburn
7. Ole Miss
8. Michigan State
9. Kansas State

7, Notre Dame

9. Michigan State
10. TCU

Scoring 82. Which, by the way, was by no means TCU's way of running up the score to impress voters.

Their starting QB was throwing passes with 1:14 left in the third quarter while ahead 61-27. That'st not running up the score to impress?

Notre Dame doesn't belong in the top 4 now or at the end of the season if there are still lots of 1 loss teams. They don't have a single good win. They play garbage teams for the most part and barely beat a poor Stanford team. They lost to FSU. That doesn't tell us much, because FSU plays nobodies all season long. They are not in a conference so they won't have to win a conference championship. They should be on the outside looking in, if things are fair. Also, after their pathetic performance in the NCG a few years ago, no one wants to see them anywhere near the playoffs.

I'll predict that Bama will be on the outside until we beat LSU and/or MSU. 1. MSU, 2. FSU, 3. Oregon, 4. Notre Dame, 5. Georgia, 6. Alabama, 7. Auburn 8. Michigan State, 9. Ole Miss, 10. Kansas State.

Hate it, but I believe the true reason for this committee is NOT to pick the best 4 teams but to pick the top 4 teams that will cause the least uproar nationwide. Picking teams from different conferences for the top spots will be most "satisfactory." The problem is that people will be using this poll to 1) reset their thoughts on the top teams, and 2) use it to justify their statements that the SEC aren't as good as we know it is. Auburn has a "better loss" than us right now. But if we win out, I still believe we make it in the top 4.

Another prediction here....if there are two SEC teams in the FINAL four spots, they will be placed 1-4 or 2-3 so that they go head to head in the first playoff round. No SEC vs. SEC championship. Problem solved.
