I'm sure everyone likes a FREE lunch, breakfast, dinner, house, auto, condoms, coca colas, beer, wine, Jack Daniels, etc. BUT who's going to pay for FREE? Can all the Progressive Billionaires foot the bill?I like free lunch.

To answer your question. I'd say if a person is too dang dumb, etc. to get it in 12 years, then you don't deserve it. The opposite of this is free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty everything is FREE at last. I don't think MLK, Jr. would be for this kind of free at last.I've never given this issue much thought and maybe playing devils advocate a bit but why is there an arbitrary demarcation after 12 years? Why 12 instead of 14, or more, and where should it end?
NO! This does mean that you can however afford to be TAXED at a higher rate. So, send the US government a check for MORE money! That will cost you an extra 10% for even asking. I am assuming that your check is already in the mail.I don't have any kids...can I get the share that they would have gotten just deposited directly to my bank?

For those of us who paid for their kids to go to college, refund please!Yah, no point in waiting to see how this might be funded before criticizing...
Tennessee Promise starts this year, guaranteeing every HS graduate the chance at two years at a community college or trade school, 100% funded by the interest from the profits from the lottery that have been set aside for education. It's literally zero tax dollars and offers every HS graduate that has ANY potential the ability to get a higher education and / or training. Cost neutral and improves the education / training of the people of the state? Yes, please!
All those zeroes are giving me a headache.Well, when you've added $7,400,000,000,000 in debt, what's another $34,000,000,000?
Me too. I just wish they were on my monthly bank statement! All those zeroes are giving me a headache.
Right. And everyone except the low information voter gets that. The problem is that there are way too many who don't.Screw Obama. I dot believe anything he says. Nothing is free, somebody always has to pay for it.
This is already available through federal assistance. Cash benefits program money can be used for anything from liquor to lottery tickets to lap dances. Why can't we have a national lottery to pay for this stuff. Could you imagine all the degenerates lining up to play the lottery, when it hits a billion? Could get a lot of our welfare and foodstamp money back.
Thanks. I've been wondering what to do with my VA money. This is already available through federal assistance. Cash benefits program money can be used for anything from liquor to lottery tickets to lap dances.
LOL. At least you earned it!!Thanks. I've been wondering what to do with my VA money.![]()
Please no. Just thinking about Mrs. Reb and her sister throwing money away on lottery tickets makes me more than a little ill.Why can't we have a national lottery to pay for this stuff. A friend works at the Social Security Administration and one of the "customers' got some back-payments of "benefits" to the tune of $7,000. She went out and bought 7,000 lottery tickets (how does one even buy that many lottery tickets?). Lo, she did not win (although I'm certain she would have shared her winnings with the taxpayers had she won.)Please no. And yet she votes.A friend works at the Social Security Administration and one of the "customers' got some back-payments of "benefits" to the tune of $7,000. Lo, she did not win (although I'm certain she would have shared her winnings with the taxpayers had she won.)
Then she discovered that she did not have enough money left to pay her rent or buy food and needed more money.
It's all about control brother. Orwell's 1984 is here.I really don't understand why the federal government has to interfere in so many aspects of our lives.
