Colin Kaepernick part of Nike's 30th anniversary of 'Just Do It' campaign

So you're taking your experiences with people in small town Alabama and projecting them on to people across the country who you've never met simply because their skin color is the same as those in your experiences in small town Alabama?

Please..... You can act like there aren't racist people out there if it makes you feel better.

Saw the commercial during the Eagles/Falcons. It was well done. Nothing political about it. If I didn’t know who Kapernick was I wouldn’t even know there might be the slightest political overtones. It was quite inspirational.

He had a 70s look going for him. Is that back in style?

Do you really believe that the election of a black president proves that racism no longer exists in any form in this country?

2016-2018 say hi.

I believe there are evil people in the world and our country but as far as any sort of mass racism it no longer exists. It’s actually against the law and things like affirmative action blacks get preferential treatment based not on their character(MLK) but the color of their skin.

I wish that were true. If you truly believe this you either don't get out much or you are willfully ignorant. I'm sorry to say that, but I can't think of a more subtle way to say it.

Never said there wasn't. Do you mind pointing out where I said that? We as a society have fought hard to not stereotype people based on skin color. But that's exactly what you're doing and seem to be completely okay with it. Yet you're the one calling people racist.

LOL. He started way more games in the NFL than AJ ever sniffed, but half the board acts like AJ deserves to be in the NFL. Kaepernick made it in the NFL. That's a pretty great feat for a QB. He got blackballed due to this protest, and I'm pretty confident his court case will show that. That's what he sacrificed.
.

Only the sunshine pumpers, non NFL watchers, and the AJ can do no wrongers believe AJ should've started over Kap.

But he didn't get benched because of this protest. He got benched because Chip Kelly wanted to play Blain Gabbert.

As for being blackballed..... He has turned down offers after being let go by the 49ers, so I'm not too sure you can say he has been totally blackballed if people have offered him contracts. So sueing the NFL on those grounds is probably not going to end with a victory.
