To say there's no love lost between those schools is an understatement. Our nextdoor neighbors for 25 years were both KU grads, really decent people, and they tried to keep the contempt out of their voices whenever K-State came up...

What’s weird is that it wasn’t a close game. Not sure why the emotions flared so quickly.

The fans laughing and smiling above the fray should be embarrassed as well.

Sad all around.

The game was over - less than 5 seconds left.

No chance for State to win.

Jayhawk with the ball just standing there dribbling.

State player all of a sudden grabs the ball and races to the basket for a last second dunk.

Gets blocked by a Jayhawk and in the process State player is knocked down on the floor.

Jayhawk goes over to and stands over the State player laying on the floor and starts whispering sweet nothings in his ear.

Then all hell breaks loose.

Analysis: Petty move by State player to grab the ball for a last second basket while the Jayhawk was just waiting for the game to end - mercifully.

I can sorta understand why the Jayhawk went over to block the shot.

But then he should have just walked away - the game was over.

Standing over your beaten opponent wasn't necessary. The point was made by the block itself.

All I can say is I pray that we never see anything like this in our conference.

So, you're saying "both sides."
