Well just say it's your system instead of misleading everyone. I'll change the thread title so folks won't have to waste time unless they want to.Sagarin, like the developers of many other sports rating systems, does not divulge the exact methods behind his system.
I’ll ask again. What’s the scale? How high does your scale go? 150? 200? What’s the highest possible score ?
Any scale that has UK and Vandy only 7 points apart seems ..... off
He doesn't really like to answer. I'm torn between closing the thread or just seeing where this goes. Without a frame of reference and some more info, it seems pretty meaningless. It could be a wonderful system, but we won't know without info.I’ll ask again. What’s the scale?
I PM’d the OP and said give info or I was closing it. They continue to be vague. I’ll close itI don't know what to think about a system of rating/ranking that has no context as to the meaning of it. We have no way of validating any metric in it because the creator refuses to share a single thing about it. We have no idea what goes into the mix at all. Rating systems will tell you what general ingredients go in even if they don't share the exact formula. I lean toward shutting it down unless the user divulges a little basic info about the system and perhaps how it differs or is better than others.
