Maybe next season, but Jeremy just landed the no. 1 linebacker and number 10 overall player in the nation. He's making noise on the recruiting trail right now which is what it takes to build a program.
The UT people say he's one of them...............…….but if the chance to come to Bama as the head coach opens up, he'd leave...……….then he wouldn't be one of them anymore

No doubt he's a great recruiter, and has shown it...……..but if he doesn't beat UGA, Bama or Florida, then the natives will become restless

I think you're right and lucky for us Jeremy has a chance to prove he's worthy of the job. If he can dig Tennessee just halfway out of the mess their in then he's a dang good coach.

He is going to get some guys but their overall classes are not going to equal us, UGA, LSWho, UF, Barn and A&M just yet. At #6 or #7 in the SEC he is still well behind.

UT is number 1 in recruiting for the SEC right now. Bama has to start trying to make a splash or these other schools are going to ride their momentum past us in recruiting this year.

Do you really believe this?...really, really believe this?...like, ready-to-accept a wager believe this?...or are you just voicing a “worst-case-doomsday-scenario” to stir up reactions-but really don’t really believe this-believe this?

Early playing time is helping them......……...……..but I don't think Bama finishes behind them for a minute......……..Saban isn't resting on his laurels

No one, and I repeat, no one thought Georgia would dominate in recruiting in 2018 at the start of the cycle....

That's typical of most fanbases. I am referring to Bama fans.

This is not quite true either. Smart was a ferocious recruiter returning with great fanfare to one of the country’s richest recruiting areas. Anyone who could look past their animus over Smart’s handling of his departure could see what was about to happen. And many, in fact, did.

Sorry D4TT...I'm with CrimsonEyeshade here...we built a monster in Kirby and sent him home to the third/fourth richest recruiting state...If you didn't see it, you didn't want to.

We are probably lagging a bit because of the epidemic. Tech no doubt is helping other teams right now since Saban doesn’t use tech like others. Just a thought. I definitely know enough to trust Saban.

We won 7....I repeat 7!!!!! Recruiting titles in a row prior to that. Again, no one saw them pulling a class like that. It started with momentum and they just kept it rolling.

You have your opinion but if you followed Alabama football for that 7 year run of having the top recruiting class in the country, then you knew Kirby had a vital hand in it. Thus him being able to take that to UGA and being able to transform that into the 2018 success. I myself knew he would be able to do what he did that year. The Atl is loaded with talent. I think per capita it has more 5 star recruits than any area in the country. He convinced a lot of those guys to stay in state. As for the LB out of Alabama committing to ut, it is a long way to signing day. A lot of people think this could be a good year on the field for ut but I am not one of those. A bad year could cause a lot of their recruits to flip.

I just read an article about the 25 5* players for 2021. And we are only getting crystal balls for 2? And we aren't the leader for each?

Should we be concerned?

I think couple this with the fact that we're shut down right now due to the virus and have a shorter window of opportunity due to early signing period I'm somewhat concerned. I trust we'll have a good class when all is said and done but it may be hard to climb into the top 3 like we're used to. We'll see. I'm ready for a few dominoes to start to fall in our direction.

It’s CNO’s fault, he is turning us into a basketball school and other coaches are using this against us.:p Seriously though, I am not sure what concerns we should have at this point in the recruiting period. It is a long ways to go, a lot of uncertainty in the world of sports and we do, many forget, have the GOAT.

Like many of you, this is early in the recruiting cycle and we should remember several things: UT has starting positions to offer. And as bad as we hate 'em they have decent traditions. It doesn't hurt that JP is a young, promising HC too. Also, remember how recruiting works. These are just "verbals" and I'd almost guarantee they'll lose a few of these guys just like all schools (including us) lose a few down the home stretch. Come this fall, this will level out and I'd be shocked if we are not right at the top again.
