Since a 5* and #1 RB in the nation from Alabama is making his commitment in March and we will turn our attention to the 2022 class in a couple of weeks I thought we should start this thread.

Emanuel Henderson is announcing on 3/13. Looks like we are in good shape for him. Any thoughts from Jam, BirminghamBama or SJC on how we look?

As these recruits continue to see how we use players like Waddle and even move our fast wide outs into the slot to get good matchups, these kind of guys are going to be lining up to get into the fold. We might have to start turning down 5 star recruits because they all want to be the next Waddle, Smith, Ruggs, Juedy, Cooper....You get the point and I bet they do too!

If these guys are smart they better not wait too long to get a spot on train to the NFL.

Hank South and Keith Niebuhr both gave a CB to Alabama today. Hank with confidence of 6 and Niebuhr with confidence of a 4. If they get him, there will be some guys in the portal next year.

FWIW, if you exclude the LB group, there are 6 kids from the state of Alabama on the list in JustNeedMe81's post.

Not that this is news, but we need some TEs and a Punter.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why we have so much trouble recruiting elite TEs, especially since Saban has embraced the kind of offense that uses them a lot.

Any chance Riley Quick could migrate to a TE? He isn’t very large like his brother yet, so just a question?

I like the competition at RB. I like the constant pressure of knowing someone is coming if you slack off. I think that is a big reason Najee blossomed.

This is the reason players like Blake Sims, Ronnie Clark and Najee will always hold a special place for me during this era of Alabama football. Each had every reason to say “nah...this isn’t place. I need to transfer, etc.. But they didn’t. They stayed the course, grew as both players and people and were eventually rewarded.
Too many folks today want instant success and instant gratification. What many miss is that the journey, as hard as it maybe at times, is where you find true gratification.

Is that you, Coach Saban? 😉

Can we take the list of player that I posted and put it top of the thread with the link Tiderjack provided, that way we can always go back and edit as committed, target, or add new commit, etc. Lot easier to help everyone get familiar with who we're targeting and etc.

Until this thread, I'd somehow missed seeing that Jeremiah Alexander was no longer committed to us. At least his comments aren't discouraging and sound as if we're still in the mix.

I think we still end up with Jeremiah. We rarely lose Birmingham kids that we want and he is a 5* so we will be all over him.

Mac Jones is another that comes to mind....
