According to some Q theory I don’t pretend to understand, Trump will become president tomorrow.

We used to swear in presidents on March 4. That changed as transportation and communication improved. The idea Trump will regain power tomorrow has something to do with the government being officially dissolved at some point and the 20th amendment was invalid.

Well, wrong. You do. The House is simply voting tonight. The Senate isn't ready to vote anyway. Do you want an armed conflict, with the lawmakers escorted through armed militia? To me that sounds harebrained...

Sorry, my title should have been less cryptic. I didn’t realize how serious security was taking it. I honestly thought this was just a stupid Q theory and not a threat.

I know what Dunning-Kruger effect is (Clint Eastwood: “I had to look it up...”). I know it’s real. The issue is his applying it to the entirety of a class of people (Fox News viewers, of which I am not one, incidentally) whom he disdains because he disagrees with their opinions, while exempting entirely another class of viewers (pick your favorite left-bias cable source) with whose views he agrees. John Cleese has made a habit since at least 2016, if not earlier, of reflexively dismissing any idea from the right of center. He’s a partisan hack. I’d have said the same thing about a partisan hack on the right who made any similarly outrageous and fallaciously synecdochic comments about people on the left…
