Pedophilia, like most paraphilias, has no proven treatment. If you want your children safe, the only way is to keep the pedophile in prison or kill him. *****footing around with these types only keeps minors vulnerable to assault, props up the child porn and child sex trafficking industries, and wastes taxpayers' dollars. I'm not normally a proponent of black & white thinking, but this is an area that requires it.

Back in my working days, I had a boss who had worked as a prison guard to earn money while in college. Texas State Department of Corrections.

He said that the reason child molesters were below the lowest rung in the prison hierarchy was the background of the prisoners. Virtually all were physically abused as children, and the significant majority were sexually abused.

So, for them, it was revenge. And yes, according to a former prison guard, they were merciless — no amount of “revenge” could erase what they went through as children. That didn’t stop them from trying, though. Whatever a child molester might have done before he got there, in prison, he reaped tenfold in kind.

Second, does the prison or death choice apply to female pedophiles? I haven’t heard of any women pursuing children under, say 12 or 13. But it seems a regular occurrence over the past few years that a female middle school or high school teacher is getting busted for sex with one or more students.

The men & women would take kids (including small kids) & use them for drug fueled orgies. Apparently, for generations, kids in that family grew up knowing they would be raped by the older relatives.

It was horrific.
The adults should all be put to death.

The only thing that complicates it for me is the fact that the abusers, by and large, are abusers because they were abused. Being sexually abused as a child seems to rewire the sexual part of the brain permanently for some.

The general population needs to be protected from them because even those who want to stop cannot stop. I am only torn on the death penalty for these people. They were not born evil - they were made evil by others. They need to pay for their evil behavior. And, to be honest, the idea of the death penalty for them doesn't bother me as they tend to be tormented.

We can't go back in time and punish those who started this cycle. It started untold generations ago. All we can do is hope to break the cycle by taking these people out of the general population the second that we know that they are pedophiles.

Alabama doesn't put pedo's in regular prisons. There is a sex offender jail outside of Montgomery, it is where the ex family member of mine ended up for close to 5 years
