Interesting article with some interesting ideas. If I am being honest though, I am not giving up my A.C.
The problem - homes built in the last 50+ years are not able to vent themselves adequately without AC.

My SiL lives in a very old house in north Alabama. It has high ceilings, high windows and thick walls. It is pretty comfortable in the summer, even in Alabama, and they have no AC. They do have a single window unit in their bedroom, but they almost never use it, and when they do it is only at night. They also have an attic fan, which draws air through the house from the attic. Awesome way to pull hot air out of a home and create air flow on a still day.

Older homes were designed to vent heat and allow great air flow. Modern homes are built to look good, and rely on AC for cooling. Without AC, those homes are almost unlivable on hot, humid days.

If co2 traps heat, how did Portland record the largest temperature drop in history, dropping 52 degrees overnight?

I remember the days of finding every nugget to support my wish that climate change wasn't real while ignoring the sea of science and specialists saying it was. Ahhhhh, the "good" old days of cherry picking ignorance I "enjoyed"...

...Consecutive days Portland set new all-time high temperature records. Before this weekend, the previous record, set first in 1965 then most recently in 1981, was 107 degrees. Saturday recorded a high of 108 degrees, Sunday was 112 and Monday clocked in at 116 degrees, among the hottest places in the world for the day...

...75 degrees

The low temperature overnight from Sunday to Monday in Portland. It marks the warmest low temperature ever recorded in the city. High temperatures at night are of particular concern during heat waves because the cooler nighttime hours are often the only time our bodies have a chance to recover...

...While the heat dome that squatted over the Pacific Northwest for the last few days was not precisely caused by climate change, rising temperatures that are a result of increased concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere make these types of extreme weather more likely and, when they do happen, climate change makes them more intense. Some experts have attributed an extra 3 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit of warming during our last heat wave solely from the heat-trapping contributions of greenhouse gases.

Lytton hit 49.6 degrees Celsius (121.3 degrees Fahrenheit), astounding for the town of just 250 people nestled in the mountains, where June maximum temperatures are usually around 25 degrees. This past week, however, its nights have been hotter than its days usually are, in a region where air conditioning is rare and homes are designed to retain heat.

Any man made global warming is caused predominantly by the growth of man made structures and by global deforestation. Every man made structure in sunlight is creating more heat than it did in its natural state and wherever it sits, it is creating more heat than the ground underneath would have created if not covered.
According to one study we have removed 1/3 of the planets forests. According to another study we are removing forests each year the equivalent size of Portugal. Remove one third of the shade from anything and see how much warmer it gets.
What we have done to the atmosphere, by analogy amounts to tossing 2 ping pong balls into a box of 2,500 and believing those 2 ping pong balls without any internal source of heat, are warming the other balls, to a measurable and even catastrophic degree. Sorry but that requires too much faith to believe

So you fancy yourself smarter than all the physicists, climatologists, and other highly educated and experienced specialists on the face of the planet.

Do you intend to show your work, complete with the appropriate equations and data?
