I agree with all but the statement about Texas having more resources...Georgia is the "only dog" in a state that produces tons of high caliber players every year. Yes, they are poached off by others...but UGA ought to be picking who they want in their home state. They have no financial limitations...none.

You are correct that they have played in a tougher conference...and imho that has made them stronger, not weaker.
georgia is always loaded with big time talent and has been for a long time.

you can compare that with their record and draw your own conclusions ;)

Ok so any thoughts on how the divisions are going to shake out? Are we going to kick Auburn over to the east?

Given that there has only been one game in the last 40 years, there's not really much tradition...

The SEC, meanwhile, has solidified its standing as the top conference in college sports. The league has now grown to include 16 total members, including 11 of the top 17 revenue-generating universities in the NCAA, per USA Today's most-recent database of athletic department finances. The league officially announced the addition of the two schools Friday with a statement touting the academic and athletic success of each university.

Those 3 loses in the Coach Bryant era are tough. We should have won each game and likely did win the '65 Orange Bowl. Instant replay probably gives Namath the TD near the end of the game. But even the two Cotton Bowls, I think we led late.
