Agreed. When I thought the DH was going to be universal, I was all in on re-signing him. Once that was toast there wasn’t a reason to do it. I honestly thought Melancon was a bigger priority but we just didn’t do it. There is a chance that was not AA’s fault and Melancon just did not want to play here again.
Touki will be on the mound tonight. He has been great and I predict he will be again today. The bullpen though will yet again give him a loss.

the only two I would really consider is Hendricks and Bryant. But only if reasonable. Ynoa coming back and Duvall solves a lot of our problems.
Hendricks is cost-controlled for another 3 years, so I doubt the cost would have been "reasonable".
