I predicted that the Braves would win 100 games at the start of the season. Just need one more to seal the division. MLB seasons are marathons. This team is built to win for a while.

Now, let's win the bye and let the madness that is the post-season begin.

Lol. The East is over
"Well Memorial Day has come and gone. Tomorrow, matter of fact, is June 1st. We just showed you the NL East standings. You don't need me to tell you this, BUT I'M GONNA TELL YOU ANYWAY! THE NL EAST IS OVER! THAT'S RIGHT, IT'S A WRAP! NO ONE IS TOUCHING THE METS! Tweet me the hate all you want about the jinx. Nonsense. The Mets will be National League Eastern Division champs, and I don't even think the Braves are gonna challenge 'em. The Phils? Please, you've seen them. I won't even mention the other two teams. No one else is .500. What are you worried about Mets fans? The west coast trip? Yeah, okay. The Mets are only gonna get better, and even if the Braves do turn it around it will be too late. The NL East is OVER!"

BIG OOF!!!

Our chances of a repeat just went way up.

Here’s the thing: we need to go out and have fun - pressure is off from the 20 choke because we won last year. Just apply “the Process” to the post-season.

For those not old enough to recall it - I cannot emphasize enough how abrupt the emotion switch was in 1996. It was so fun, we’d won and the pressure was off. We blew out the Yankees the first two. Around 830pm on Wednesday night we were up, 2 games to 1, and up 6-0 in game four. About 27 hours later, we were down 3-2 in games and it was one of the most shocking flips I’ve ever experienced in sports.

I’ll admit to being greedy, but a back to back would erase that completely (admittedly most of it left last fall).

I also promise if we win to never again diss Snit as a lousy strategist even though he is.

If people didn’t think it was over in May, they surely thought it was over when the Mets took 4 of 5 in NY; but the rather than moping, the Braves turned around and won 8 in a row and 15 out of 17, including 3 of 4 from the Mets in Atlanta. They then had another 8 game winning steak and another 5 game win streak and are currently on another 7 of 8 run. All of this under pressure. This has been one of the greatest runs I can ever remember in baseball history.

And Jansen was lights out the last 2 games - not one base runner, saving all 3.

And Swanson and Olson were fabulous.
