Hard to believe any university would let that happen - you gotta know the PR hit is going to be significant. But in an age when too many cave to the mob, maybe we should be saying kudos to them for not caring.
You think the AD or president actually have a say in this? yellafella and his ilk don't care about any bad PR. They only want to win. Personally they deserve to never win another game.

Chelsea Andrews is a sexual assault survivor from Liberty. When she tried to bring pressure on the LU AD, Ian McCaw (who came from the same position at Baylor), Freeze started sending her unsolicited tweets. Part and parcel of the ongoing FEDERAL investigation of sexual assaults at Liberty.

Freeze's history with the NCAA should be the LEAST of Auburn's concerns.

Their fan base may be fractured at the moment but in the end I think they will unify behind Hugh Freeze. Let him beat us and Nick Saban a year from now(which right now I’d lay 50/50 odds on happening) at JHS and the barn fans will quickly close ranks and be all-in on the hire and probably give him a lifetime contract. That seems to be the Auburn way of doing things.

Has Coach Freeze been accused of sexual assault?

I believe that he is ruthless and amoral but aside from likely having arranged "pay-for-play" with consenting adults, I don't think he's ever been accused of forcing anything. If I'm not correct, please LMK.
He has been accused of providing HS players with prostitutes.

This makes one wonder exactly what was on AD Cohen's 50-something data point criteria list. Apparently none of them dealt with past NCAA infractions, moral turpitude, or just being a good human being. Another example of JABA...

I grieve for my friend AUDub and all my AU friends who live by honesty and integrity. This move really is inexplicable on any moral ground...
Yeah so do I. However there is this self righteous dentist that is an Auburn fan I’m going to enjoy roasting. A barb here, a barb there, a slow roasting until he is done.

During an NCAA investigation into the Ole Miss football program under Freeze, it was discovered that Hugh contacted escort services over a five year span. Freeze denied they were for recruits saying they were for himself. Others have claimed Freeze bought escorts for coaches, staffers and recruits.
There is a title 9 investigation at Liberty University Concerning a coed sexually assaulted by a university employee in the athletics dept. . Hugh Freeze sent a text to the accuser on behalf of the athletic dept at midnight one night. While not damning, the accuser found the text insensitive , and published it on Twitter. The text could be construed as trying to influence or coerce a Sexual assault victim . At the very least, it was poor judgement.

It was easy to predict Freeze all along, and no one should be the least bit surprised. He is a match made in heaven for Auburn. His slack-jawed, sanctimonious hypocrisies will fit in perfectly at the pig trough that is their power brokers and administration. He'll bring the same trickeration/bush league offense that Gus did except with better QB development and "more imaginative" recruiting.

But, he'll win - more than at Ole Miss - and he'll deal us some voodoo misery from time to time as well... And I, for one, will probably end up disliking (mild word) him more than the previous Auburn head coaches of my lifetime combined.

Simple metric to this ... he's pretty much being hired to right the ship and have Auburn in the playoffs in the next 4-5 years (which has become the new gauge for success for coaches).

Show of hands of who thinks he will win the SEC, rather alone make it to the playoffs in the next 4-5 years?

Cows can't change their spots, particularly eponymous cows - but good on them that are sayin' "Boo!" instead of "Moo..." at who's been named to head 'em up and moo've 'em out of the SEC West cellar -
