Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. The original version didn't come across like that. (y)
I find this to be one of the inherent problems with written communication. Effective interpersonal communication relies, not only on the words being spoken, but also the body language, tone, voice inflection and emotional projection that accompanies these words.

I know the default rebuttal is "Saban has a plan and knows what he's doing" so let's get that out of the way.

However, every player in the 2023 recruiting class has signed their letter of intent and all but four are already enrolled and on campus. So, I'm not sure "he's waiting until signing day has passed" is at play anymore as to why we've still yet to at least get a defensive coordinator in place. Ultimately, when we do sign a DC and it's not Leonhard and/or Pruitt, we may look back and realize that Saban's Plan A and Plan B may not have gone as planned and he had to pick Plan C. There's been too many reports that these two are high on Saban's list as a replacement for PG. I haven't done it yet because I think it is a loooong shot, but I swear if Todd Grantham is named DC I may go ahead and start buying cases of bourbon and get a head start on heavily drinking for the 2023 season. The longer this goes on without a hire the more likely Saban will be picking from way down on his "short list", if he's still on the short list at all. One possibility as to why Leonhard hasn't been hired is because he's being looked at by NFL teams, specifically the Minnesota Vikings, who are now rumored to be interested in Leonhard.

I still get the OC issue as it relates to BOB. The Patriots are the frontrunner of wanting BOB but Kraft is also now involved and he's doing a lot of house cleaning wrt to Bill B and the crap show he put on the field last year. I also know Tampa Bay, regardless of whether Brady is coming back or not, is also interested in BOB so the Pats have competition and BOB has options.
It won't be Pruitt.

He’s been mentioned for Minnesota DC, but you don’t have anyone listed there.

On Schumann: here's what I found odd.... Georgia board hasn't mentioned anything related to Schumann. This whole thing was driven by Bama boards... but Georgia isnt reporting anything on that, no intel, no scoops, no nothing.

If you remember.... Kiffin was spotted around Bama campus before was hired.
Sark was mentioned in few days before he was hired as analyst before being promoted to OC.
We heard the news of Mike Locksley being promoted to OC days before it was announced.
We heard list of candidates including Golding being interviewed and etc.... before Golding was selected.

The fact we haven't heard much on DC hires.... leads me to believe Saban has his guy in place.... I think it's either Pruitt or Leonard or both. Jim Leonhard isn't getting considered for any positions in NFL right now. We haven't heard any single word on Leonhard on College rank either. Pruitt, I really believe we're waiting on NCAA to say something and I think we'll know by Friday of this week.

As far as OC, I'm not sure what's the hold up on that, because I thought he was focusing on OC first before dealing with DC, so you would think he would've made a hire by now... unless he's trying to wait on DC position to sort itself out. I’m wondering if everything is so quiet because Coach Saban can make the contacts via zoom now vs. someone flying in? It can be much more secretive now.

I still think it's someone from NFL because of the pro style we run, and I know a lot of folks have said Bob isn't staying but don't rule that out
