Price of Gas II

The price gap between regular and premium gas has gotten larger. It used to be pennies; now in Bazza’s previous post the gap is $.75. I don’t know how they sell premium gas anymore. Personally, I won’t buy a car that uses only premium. For my truck, premium would cost $10-12 more every time I filled up.

I wish someone would explain to me why diesel is more expensive than regular.

Because they (oil companies) say the additives they have to add for highway diesel is costly.
As I understand it (and I’m sure TB will clarify), actual refining of diesel is less costly than gas. If that’s true then they’re just gouging everyone who uses diesel because they can.
It’s part of the reason food costs are still high.

Diesel is a byproduct of refining gasoline...
