I would be ok with cutting DeBoer loose. 8-2 heading to the playoffs and then losing to a 5-5 team should be a fireable offense.
He needs time to get his players. The biggest thing he did wrong this year was not make a QB change. However, if he brings Sheridan and Wommack back next year, then I might agree with you.

now we are out of the playoffs...time to show your spine and put your choices into the line up....not those of the team...next season starts now

It’s not asinine. Is it jumping the gun a bit? Yes. Asinine? No.
9/10 when I jump the gun, I'm right. But, I get it, the powers that be are way more patient than I would be so you guys will be stuck with this same stuff for the next few years. And then will have to find another head coach to start the process over in about 2029 or so vs next year. That's life.

CKD needs time to get rid of the LANK cancer. That is the single biggest issue with our program right now. CKD is undefeated against some really good coaches, while usually having less talent. Next year is his year to prove he can take the next step.

Logged back on just to say this...

This team has zero self-discipline. That is on no one but the head coach.

This team is the epitome of unrealized potential. That, also, is on no one but the head coach.

At this point, it looks like we made the wrong choice...

Ok, now you need to take a step off the ledge…
To be fair, I included both caveats of "at this point" and "it looks like"...

It is too soon to draw concrete conclusions.

It is not too soon to say that we need to see drastic changes - and the sooner the better.

Nah, the wrong choice was keeping Milroe as QB.
That and what I stated are not mutually exclusive...

Yes, CKD is the head coach and is SUPPOSED to be in charge of player personnel decisions. College football doesn’t work that way anymore. Jalen Milroe never should have started a game for Bama after the 2022 season, but NIL has completely taken all the power away from the coaches.

My honest opinion is that Saban left partly because of this locker room cult that has been there for the past two years. I don’t think we have a team… we just have talent.

I think Deboer has to get his guys and will likely clean house in the offseason. It seems that Deboer chose to just ride out a transition period in an effort to potentially get in the playoffs but it didn’t work. At this point Alabama should devote all efforts in beating Auburn and preparing for next year.

My overall point is that until Deboer is allowed to build his team then it’s really unfair to make any hard judgments on where we are and where we are going as a program. I think a degree of patience is necessary

DeBoer is to blame for more than the QB situation

DeBoer seems lost and confused. I’m not seeing the killer instinct in him. Tonight, I think is a reflection of him. Lackadaisical, no urgency.
watching game tonight was an embarrassment.

zero consistency.
