Bama Game Thread: Official Game Thread - Postgame Thread...

It’s this kinda of stupidity that doesnt follow or even care about the sport of college football… does anybody know how well Okie has recruited the past 4 or five years… I stop looking downward after team ranking number 5.

The better talent did not win last night… the better coached team did… KD might want to put his phone on DND all week especially for the Hey Coach show which is fastly becoming the Hey Moron show.

Someone explain to this poster on X that a village is missing an idiot and he is the one missing…

I stated in the early season predictions that I thought CKD's first year record would be 9-3.
If the same Alabama team shows up next Saturday at BDS, it will be an 8-4 season. Maybe at 8-4 we can get a Duke's Mayo Bowl bid in lovely Charlotte or the Camelia Bowl in Montgomery.
Yeahs…But that’s sort of your thing. And we love you for it. Didn’t you predict 3 losses in 2020 too? ;)

He won't take callers on that show again this week. He knows what it will look like and doesn't want to face the criticism openly.

I don’t think anyone, on a certain cold night in January 2018, realized that would be Alabama’s final full *normal* regular season title for Coach Saban, and the program, for a very long time.

It’s hard to believe that 2nd and 26 was the start of a very, very, slow downhill slide.

I don't think that is fair. Won it all in 2020. Alabama had the best team in the country again in 2021 - only lost because both of your best WRs were lost to injuries. So it is really only a 3 year slide, with the last 2 reminding us that this can be a cruel sport.

It sucked how 2020 played out, because possibly Alabama’s best ever team had to play in a season full of cancellations, opt outs, and roster holes.

2020 Alabama might been the GOAT, but public consensus won’t accept that due to COVID-19.

Weak. Dude's making $9mil / year and his players are making $1mm+/year and we have to treat them with kid gloves? Yeah, no. If I'm CTSN, that is a core piece of your "talent fee" and you don't get it if you don't take calls (probably not him making that decision and it's incredibly condescending if not. He should insist.)

Most see 2019 LSU as the best and 2020 Alabama right behind them. To me they are 1a and 1b, interchangeable

257 yards rushing, over half by their QB. Arnold only threw 11 passes . They beat us at our own game. And why did Haynes only carry the ball 3 times when he averaged 6 yards a carry? View attachment 47387
I feel like Haynes was hurt after one of his runs. I remember him tapping in his helmet to come out and then I don’t think he came back in.

Milroe has to start next week or his draft stock will drop even more. Need him to play well one more time so he can move on. Then tell him that he will not be starting the bowl game and advise him to "sit out the game to prepare for the draft" so you can begin developing next year's starter.

I'll take it.

His reactions to this loss aligned with previous losses. His team's poor preparation for almost every game. His lack of in game adjustments. His lack of fire. His unwillingness to hold players accountable.

Lots to worry about.
Agreed. We are two late game interceptions against Georgia and USCe from being 6-5 right now. Those two interceptions by JM last night that led directly to 14 points by OU were “2023 Texas game” bad.
OU offensively decided to follow the Vandy plan. Run the ball on early downs and shorten the game. Defensively play to their strength which is run defense. Shut down the QB run and make JM throw it.
This Alabama team isn’t physically or mentally tough. I have said it once and continue to say it. THAT is a reflection of this coaching staff. We lost last night to a team whose WR and Oline groups were so banged up they could be doing NIL deals for Oklahoma City Orthopedic groups or personal injury lawyers.
Next Saturday is Auburn. Wommack is about to make Peyton Thorne look like Johnny Football reincarnate. And DJ Durkin certainly isn’t a defensive savant but, after our offensive disaster last night, he doesn’t need to be.

It hurts for me to say this, but for all the great things that Tick Playpen did for Alabama football, he did the program a dis-service by not dealing with the SANK cancer. But then again, he knew that Tide fans would be "livid" with .500 seasons because of portal transfers in 2023 and 2024. And while he gave us clues as to what was going on in the locker room ("the team chose the quarterback"), he kicked the SANK can down the street for the next coach to deal with. And here the program is. JMHO.
Decent points if you weren’t mocking the GOAT…silly nicknames…silly is being nice.
Coach Nick Saban…

The best bet for next week is to hope that the barn comes in full of themselves and extremely overconfident that the can run us out of our own stadium 2 minutes into the game. If that's the case, we have a shot. If not, it will look like a Shula era Iron Bowl at best

I know it won’t happen but I hope we drop all the LANK, Podcasts, and Radio interviews next year and just get back to Alabama Football.

That said, I appreciate the players that did stay after CNS retired.
Is that statement wrong. I am by no means saying Milroe was great, but darn there were a ton of balls that WRs and TEs dropped left and right.
Milroe doesn’t throw a catchable ball. Tua, Bryce and Mac did.
