I know many of us have gave CKD a hard time for not being more "old school" with his approach with the players and team but this post here gives some insight as to why that may not necessarily work anymore. Players have all the leverage now. They dictate if they come or go, they dictate their position, etc. The coaches who will thrive, as long as the rules are allowing this type of behavior, are the coaches who can find a happy medium between empowering the players and holding them accountable to doing the things that win. As I've said before, it is an interesting time to be coaching football. To those of you who want to burn every bridge to every player who acts this way, good luck with winning with The Little Giants rolling out onto the grass come next season. To those of you who want to bow down to every demand every player has, good luck winning with an undisciplined and unmotivated group of players next fall. There are very few truths in life, mostly just our perspectives...and a lot of gray area!
