Friday Games We (somewhat) Care About: Egg Bowl, etc.

8&4 still sitting in that win-win situation. They just won't go to Atlanta.

Assuming we beat Auburn and finish 10-2, I wonder what the SEC would do if we said, hey, we're good with 10-2. That's gets us in the playoffs. We'd rather stay home next week.

I know it won't happen, but I'm worried about what would happen if we had a bad day in the SEC Championship game.

They benefitted from a very easy conference schedule, a result of these conferences being too big creating schedule imbalances

It’s why Indiana is 12-0 right now avoiding Ohio State, Michigan, USC
Everyone seems to know this but the CFP 12...they only penalize the B12 it seems for playing weaker teams...not the B1G...

Bit surprised... But not much... Wondered if TAMU was a paper tiger after South Carolina.
Well, if you look at their schedule, they have played nothing but the bottom half of the SEC. And they snuck by a few of those. They did play Missouri, but that was after Missouri lost their starting QB for the year. And they only beat ND because the holder botched the snap on the xp that would have tied the game and sent it to OT. So, yes, I would say there is a lot of paper there.
