Is Nick Saban costing us in the polls?

First, I don't worry much about the polls unless we're looking at #1.

Second, I don't think beating Western Carolina and Vanderbilt gives enough of a push to lift Alabama up. Now, should we beat Arkansas and Georgia, then...

He isn't costing us in the polls. We were a 6-7 football team last year and our two wins this year are over Western Carolina and Vandy.

OMG he might be. I have got a plan, lets fire him and hire Tubbs because the media loves him and they would vote for him to be........... my bad it dont work that way.

The coaches don't vote on the polls anyway. They have an assistant that does that. That's one of the great fallacies of the coach's poll. There is no way that the head coaches of college football teams have enough time to review the various teams from around the nation and make an informed vote.

Nope . Not playing or beating any decent teams is the reason Bama is not and should not be ranked - yet . JOMO .

You're kidding, right?! We shouldn't be even thinking about polls right now! Champions don't think about things like that, especially not at this point in our rebuilding process.

Listen to what Coach says about focusing on the process, one play, one game at a time. Eventually, we'll come out on top, but we're nowhere near the general area of the top at this point in time.

Let's try to be realistic.

The only logical move is to rehire Mike Dubose. He is coaching little Millsaps College and is available. The media love him. They voted his team third in the nation before it played a game. Of course, they were sorry for it later, but they never lost their fascination for Ol' Mike. Second in line would be Mike Price. His off-the-field exploits were a bit racy, but reporters never lost their interest in him, even today.

I have even heard stories of coaches giving the sheet to the towel or waterboy and having them fill it out ... the coaches poll is a joke

I don't think he is costing us anything, rather I think he already paying dividends...

1. we've gotten more pub since he was hired than we could have hoped for
2. our team is already performing at a level shula didn't know existed
3. recruits are starting to line up to be a part of this
4. fans are flooding the stadium...we'll have to add on soon
5. fan spirit is at an all-time high

the swell is coming, just hold on...the Crimson Tide will be at the Top of the SEC and the National polls in just a few years...give him time to recruit...I am excited how this team already plays better than anything cms put on the field and his recruiting is already amazing...

The AP hates him because they think he lied to them. The coaches hate him for his $4 million dollar contract. We should be in the top 25.

Did you really give any thought to what you posted? The coaches hate him for his $4 million dollar contract? Nick just raised the bar for all future contracts I would think they are smiling from ear to ear.

Yeah, we are still living in the shadow of our programs downward spiral since Stallings left. Saban is the person that will push Bama back to the top, not hold us down!

Who said anything about their votes being "informed"
