I used to think he was going to either OU or LSU but the closer we get to NSD, the more I think he will end up @ Bama. He has been to LSU on several occasions usually with his brother DMitch who used to post regularly on Tigerdroppings and his brother was a big Miami fan. I was checking on Tigerdroppings the other day and DMitch had quit posting there, and this was just before RR made his visit to Bama. He was in Tuscaloosa Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday and his father came with him. I have to believe that 3 days with coach Saban is pretty influential. I think this guy walks to a different beat and doesn't like all the attention he gets in Baton Rouge. I also don't think anybody is going to push him into anything. I think Bama has a lot of selling points for him. Immedialte playing time opposite Julio, a quarterback who broke Chase Daniels records during his senior season of high school, a chance @ a national championship, great facilities, a great education, and playing for the best coach in college football. Hopefully I'm right!:BigA:

Guys there is a right way and a wrong way to greet a new member. Some of you picked the wrong way, let's do better in the future. That smack crap runs both ways.

My fault and my apologies Bayou, for directing the spotlight.

What I should have said is:

Welcome to TideFans.:)

Have fun and study hard while you're there.....or are you talking about Reuban Randle? If so, please expound. Or are you just an LSU fan who is voicing his opinion on what he/she wants to happen? We here here at TideFans welcome you're opinion and would like to hear you're reasons for this opinion. If you're here to talk smack...ain't gonna happen. Why do you think RR is LSU bound?

I think I read that his top five (Yes he has five teams he is looking at) are, OU, LSwho, Bama, OU ST, and Miami. No one in the know knows where he is going, him and his dad have been very hush on the matter. He is looking at everything I have read, to play with other great WR to take the heat off him. So, I think we stand a good chance with JJ on the team. I also like the fact of AJ being the QB in the ALL Star Game. I would love to see them hook up once or twice for a nice TD or long play.

Long story short LSwho is the home state much like JJ last year, however things are change fast in the Big Easy. So if OU has the QB go early or the thought of leaving at least next year, OU ST has some good players and Bone has some nice Facilities, then Miami is just that Miami. That leaves yes you guessed it, lets just see what happens in the All Star game first.

I am new to the board, I come in peace.I am a big Saban fan but bleed purple and gold.Looking forward to contribute my 2 cents whenever I can.RR's situation has Joe Mckinght saga written all over it.People in BR are truly nervous and I personally think they should be.Losing the number#1 recruit in the country to a rival SEC school to a former coach is already giving many people nightmares. Where ever the kid ends up I hope he has a great career. If it is bama i hope he plays well just not against us:).

Thanks welcome to the board and we will try to keep it above the belt, at least until Lswho comes to town.

hey guys, this is from an article about Nick Saban today written by Peter Finney in the sports section of the Times Picayune that starts on Page 1 and continues on Page 9. Do you all think this quote might be referring to Randle's mother?

"He told the story of life on the recruiting trail, about a recent visit with a Bastrop blue-chipper whose mother asked Saban if he would do her the favor of signing a football.
Yes, he would.
Would he mind signing, 'Go Tigers'?
Why not?
'Geaux Tigers,' wrote the Alabama coach, the ultimate diplomat."

Welcome to Tidefans! We have several intelligent and funny LSU posters who have been on here for a long time. You will see some cracks but overall rival posters are welcomed as long as they keep the smack to a minimum. As far as RR, I understand the publicity impact of losing him, but LSU will still have an excellent class even without him. Same with Bama, he would be a cherry on top of a sundae, a BIG cherry

I agree that LSU's class is shapping to be be a nice one just like after 2003 NC CNS's class. We are in good shape with Debose from Florida and Benton will finally enroll. So as far as the need at WR goes we are in good shape. Its just the fact that #1 recruit in the country who happens to be in our back yard is too big a fish to lose out on esp to a rival school.

i have my sources
Not to bust your chops or anything, but unless your "source" is within the Randle family or circle of friends, then your source knows about as much about the situation as the average fan. Nobody and I mean nobody on either side (Bama or LSU) knows what Randle will do until NSD. To claim otherwise, is nothing more then blowing smoke.

No offense of course, but nobody knows what will happen with Randle until NSD.

Welcome. I look forward to the insight/views offered by a reasonable rival fan.
