This kid is going to be fun in our offense...:biggrin2:I believe this is Young's stats through the end of the regular season (10 games):
220/298 (73.8% comp), 3210 yards, 39 TDs, 3 INTs
56 rush, 342 yards, 9 TDs
In the quarterfinal playoff game:
28/39, 391 yards, 7 TDs, plus 1 rush TD
He is ready to compete for the job. If he doesn't win the job, that is actually pretty good news, right? It means that you have someone else who is better running the offense next year.I know that he`s a bit slight in build currently, but is this a kid who`s battle ready now for college? He appears ready when it comes to throwing the ball, but what about betwixt the ears?
Agreed. He plays for a large Cali HS that is an annual powerhouse every year, they play top national teams and is well coached. This does not mean it will translate to college but most of these elite HS QB's typically do well (ie Tua, Lawrence, Fields, etc....)He is ready to compete for the job. I bet other teams are salivating trying to prize him away from Bama...……………..they just cant do itI'll just leave this here from Andrew Bone:
While you were sleeping...#Alabama commitment @_bryce_young completed 20-of-30 for 520 yards and seven touchdowns in a 49-24 win against Mission Viejo. He also had seven touchdown passes last week. Rematch vs. St John Bosco for the championship next week. #RollTide
Kinda looks familiar, huh? Hits the receiver in full stride never having to decelerate. The video out on him suggests he has exceptional accuracy.
Per someone else on here, he isn't entertaining anyone else...…………...plus, he and Sark have a good relationship. Sure, he could choose to go somewhere else, but based on all I have heard, I don't think he willMight want to wait until he actually signs before we gloat....
