    Let's Talk Bama 2026 Schedule

I confess I don't get (or agree with) the sentiment that we need to change coaching staff if we go 8-4. CKD is a very good coach. It's not at all evident to me that we'd do better. But it would cost us a bunch and set us back a few years (again!) in recruiting. Furthermore, some folks must...

Who would be your preferred National Champion this year?

Ole Miss 100%!! A distant second choice is Miami. I cannot pull for a Big 10 team. But if I had to, I'd pick Indiana 3rd and the Fighting Nikes 4th.

Game Thread: 8 p.m. | No. 3 Georgia vs. No. 6 Ole Miss | Sugar Bowl (CFP Quarterfinal) (New Orleans, La.) | ESPN

Delicious irony if Kiffin bailed on Ole Miss.... and Ole Miss proceeds to win a championship. I know... not very likely. But I'll be cheering for Ole Miss the rest of the way. Another thought... If Ole Miss wins the championship, will Pete Golding get a statue in Oxford?

Was the season a success anyway?

Yes, the season was a success. We made the playoffs. Granted, I would have preferred a better showing against Indiana, but it didn't happen. We'll never see another era like the Saban era. Not in the pay-for-play NIL environment. Schools like Texas, aTm, Stanford, Michigan, So. Cal (and the...

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly… Hoosier style:

Good: Indiana. Making the playoffs and winning the first round. Ryan Williams. Y. Pierre. Recruits and portal guys see an opportunity to maybe start next season at Alabama. Beat TN & Auburn. And UGA during the regular season. Lots of good out there. Bad: OL & DL. Ugly: Over-the-top...

Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama vs. IU...

We got beat by a better team. It happens. I don't get the folks calling for CKD's replacement. I'm hoping that's over-the-top frustration brought about by our being accustomed to being the bully rather than being bullied. CKD is a very good coach! We simply ran into a much better team...

Bama vs. Indy in the Rose Bowl - Jan. 1

If Grubb gives the OL some help via an extra RB or TE so Ty has a chance to see the field, I like our chances. If 4+ receivers are running routes... I dunno...

Bama vs. Indy in the Rose Bowl - Jan. 1

Daley was hurt in the post-game celebration...??! Musta' been quite the celebration..

Bama vs. Indy in the Rose Bowl - Jan. 1

I like the confidence in the posts on this thread. Wish I felt the same way. I remain hung up on our OL's inability to protect Ty or open holes for the RBs. I just hope the Bama OC will provide the extra protection to allow Ty to have time to see the field.

Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama @ OU

Amen! Our kick returners should be instructed not to ever try to run it back unless we're behind near the end of the game and need a miracle finish. If we don't get tackled short of the 20, someone will have a block-in-the-back and we'll start inside our 10. Just take the ball at the 25 and...

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly…. Sooner part Deux:

Good: Last 3 quarters. Great catches by WRs. Defense after 1st quarter. NOT calling the goofy slow-developing trick plays that cost us yards and a down. Minimal penalties. Ty when he had time to see the field. Bad: 1st quarter. Ugly: OL's inability to open holes for the RBs. OL's...

CFN: Alabama vs Oklahoma: College Football Playoff Preview and Pick

I don't like the prediction but have to agree with it. I fear Ty will get his usual 1 second or less to survey the field before he's dodging incoming OU players.

Apologies for bashing Coach Kalen DeBoer

DeBoer took a Washington team to the CFP finals. Washington!! He's an excellent coach and we'll be lucky to keep him a few more years. And whenever he leaves, I doubt we'll be able to replace him with an equivalent coach. In addition, we'd get to work through the team and school turmoil that...

Question: What's your interest level in college football right now?

My prediction is that unless NIL guardrails are put in place, then after a few years of NIL growing pains, the schools with seriously rich alumni (Texas, aTm, Stanford etc.) will dominate college football - and all other sports. Alabama alums are not in that stratosphere of wealth. Most...
