    This is for the most part true about zone linemen. However, I think that correlates to the bigger, slower linemen that zone coaches don't want that are not SEC caliber linemen. I think they shy away from big buffet busters that just plug holes and can't move. There are plenty of cornbread fed...

    What's in your smoker?

    Haven't busted out the UDS yet, but cooked the Mrs. some chicken, so I smoked some neckbones that I braised earlier. Kept them on the top rack away from the direct heat and let them get smoky for a few hours.

    Hog Jowl (a.k.a. I can't believe it's not bacon) Greens w/ ham hock Blackeye Peas w/ham hock Cabbage w/ham hock Lysol or Febreeze to keep the air breathable And frying blackeye pea patties wit the leftovers!

    Whole hog sausage patties on biscuits smothered in milk gravy made from fat rendered out of sausage topped with a big slice of tomato from the garden. Quick favorite: Whole hog sausage patty between toast with grape jelly on one side and yellow mustard on the other.

    It's ok. Not one of my favorites. Tastes like a milder version of A-1 with a cloveish flavor.

    I ALWAYS brine a turkey before frying or roasting or smoking. Even if it's just the breast, you'll throw rocks at a regular gobbler.
