    Softball 2026-expectations?

BAMA got a dose of reality last night with a 3-2 loss to Samford in Birmingham. Hopefully we will use that to recharge and sweep Kentucky this weekend. Roll Tide!

    The Sweep is Complete

Great sweep by the ladies, but before today the timely hitting was a bit missing. We got more of it today. Auburn scored 1 run - yes, 1 run - all weekend. That run came on a solo homer in today's game. Keep it up ladies!!

    Softball 2026-expectations?

BAMA lowers the boom on the Longhorns today with a 7-4 victory in game 3. Vic Moten gets her first SEC win. (Briski finished the game). After losing 9-1 in game 1, BAMA came back with an 11-4 win in game two and a 7-4 victory today to take the series. Our ladies are definitely hitting their...

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Well, I guess BAMA got a bit aggravated tonight. After spotting Texas a 4-0 lead after just 1.5 innings, BAMA unloaded for 6 runs in the bottom of the second. We kept putting runs up and ended up with an 11-4 victory in game 2 to even the series. I didn't see the very beginning but I think...

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Well, BAMA went down 9-1 today at the hands of #1 Texas. I didn't get to see it, but it didn't seem like we could get anything going. Was it as bad as it looks?

    New Targeting Rule for 2026

I've seen plays, and I can't name a specific one. where the defensive player was going in for a tackle, and the offensive play eithers ducks or leans in to the defensive guy, causing the helmet to helmet hit. It was all incidental but the defensive player gets called for targeting. I guess my...

    New Targeting Rule for 2026

I understand the rule, but the enforcement is so subjective that I don't think a player should have to leave the game for a first offense. Half the time it's the offensive players fault anyway. I would call it a 15 yard penalty for first offense, and 15 yards and leave the game for a second...

    New Targeting Rule for 2026

I think it depends on who's looking at it.

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Bottom of 7 - Briski gets a K, 1 down. Briski gets another K, 2 down. Fly out to LF. BAMA wins 4-3, and wins the series 2-1. I think Mizzou might be a little better than their record. They've now lost several 1 run games. It wasn't always pretty, but we did take the series. ROLL TIDE!

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Top of 7th - Abby Karr now pitching for Mizzou. She shut us down yesterday. Pupillo leads off - and strikes out on full count. 1 down. Roman grounds out to 1B, 2 down. Giles singles to LF. Taylor strikes out. Going to the bottom of the 7th. Hope Briski can shut them down.

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Bottom of 6th - Briski starts off with a K, 1 down. Mizzou's Abby Karr owns Briski, hits her 3rd home run of the series against Briski, and second home run today. To be fair, if Vandagriff doesn't turn the wrong way on the contact, she can probably make a play and prevent the HR. The ball went...

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Top of 6th - White got on with a single, steals second, called out, but changed to safe on review. Wells strikes out to end the inning. Going to bottom of 6th, still 4-2 BAMA.

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Bottom of 5th. Briski gets 2 outs on 2 pitches, then gives up a single and a walk. Last pitch should have been a strike out but this umpire is the worst of the weekend. When it comes to balls and strikes, this whole crew is just B-A-D. And it's both ways. Both teams should send reports to...

    Softball 2026-expectations?

Top of 5th. 1 down, Roman goes yard to RF, now 4-2 BAMA. Left a runner at 3rd. We hit a hard line drive for the third out, but it was right to the Mizzou first baseman. 4-2 BAMA after 4.5.

    Softball 2026-expectations?

BAMA woke up a bit. After a single and a walk, Ambrey Taylor went yard to give BAMA a 3-2 lead. When then had runners on first and second, two down, with Wells at the plate, but she popped out on the infield. I think Wells needs to relax at the plate. Looks like she might be pressing a bit...
