Quick glance at Bama under Saban, may never be equaled

over 17 years: > averaged 12.1 wins and 1.7 losses a year > got our first Heisman winner, then 3 more followed > won 9 of our 10 SEC championship games in Atlanta (we own that stadium) > made CFP 8 out of the 10 years it's existed, then won 6 of our 8 semi-final games >played in the championship...

Seriously, WHY do we always play like that in JHS?

Honestly, their crowd is loud and intense. Way more than Bryant-Denny although we made some progress this year. A lot of journalists say J-H is one of the top environments in the country. So that helps a lot. I don't know how well our staff fires up the team. Maybe they do a great job of...

ESPN article - Saban and the Bama QB problem

Yeah our qb's are not as good as the prior 4. But they would all be better if the center could deliver a proper snap and if the OL would provide some protection. I think the OL is our biggest problem and we have a lot of issues on offense. Receivers are not as good, running back production...

USA Today: Break up Saban's Monopoly

You want to break it up? Beat us. Plenty of schools with more money, more nearby high school talent. If you can't beat us, then shut up.

Wanted to give my take on the stadium plan...

Most of the SEC enjoys and supports their team and nobody else is on the level we've been on for the last 10 years. LSU, UF, SC, Miss St, Ole Miss, AU, etc. all put people in the seats with several losses a year. People still love their team. Agree we won't win at the same level but that...

On Finebaum,a NFL guy said Alabama would have 2 of the top 10 qbs in college football

Totally agree. Tua has poise and can really see the field. He has a great arm. We all heard him interviewed seconds after the NC win. He read the Georgia defense on that last play exactly like the experts did from the broadcast booth. Tua can also run. Teams have to defend our running...

    Good read on Joe Namath

Met Joe maybe 10 years or so ago when he had a book signing at Brookwood Village in Homewood. My wife asked Joe how his daughter was doing at UA (she was a student at the time) and mentioned our daughter was also there. He stopped the line for a good 3 minutes to talk about "our daughter"...

    Good read on Joe Namath

I saw Joe Willie at Ladd Stadium in the 60's. Probably the same game but I don't remember anything else about it.

Do we feel better about the qb spot now, or worse?

Better - We are a much better offense, passing and running with Tua. Much better. Worse - From a depth standpoint. If Jalen leaves and I guess that's when he leaves, if Tua gets hurt not sure we can win titles with Mac. No idea. But overall, I feel good about the QB situation.
