A big winner tonight was the CFP selection committee. They got it right, and our victory shuts up everyone. Proud of this team, even when I had less faith in the players and staff than they had in themselves. I will gladly say I was wrong.

While we are venting, I haven't seen good half-time adjustments either. We rarely score more points in the second half as we do in the first. Very few explosive plays. Apparently, this is a ball control offense, but the pieces aren't fitting together very well.

I have been feeling the same way. It is another professional league, and it is everything I dislike about the pro game. What really stuck out to me during the broadcast was when the announcers would say, "That is (insert players name) that transferred from (insert schools name).

I am in agreement with your post. It is a judgement call. But when do the fake injuries occur? When a team needs a breather, or the team needs a timeout and doesn't have one or doesn't want to spend one. Do we want to leave medical issues up to officials? Let the scamming of fake injuries...

I like the idea of punishment of a timeout and/or penalty yardage, minimum of 10 yards, and maybe lose a down. Maybe if it occurs in the last 3 minutes of a game or something. As far as punishing the player, it may be harder to do. I think they could still scam the system. Not sure how to work...
