It's hard to beat the Michigan Orange Bowl... except that we lost, which makes it one of the worst.

Actually, the worst has to be the 1998 Music City Bowl. I'll never forget listening to the pregame radio show with Eli Gold and Doug Layton, and Doug going on about how it really shouldn't be that bad of a game because Alabama was Alabama and Virginia Tech was, well, just Virginia Tech.

And they beat us like a drum in that horrible sleet storm.

Ha! I never knew Shakira did the national anthem.

It was painful just watching that game. I don't think I've ever felt worse for players than I did for those Alabama players sliding around on that awful Vandy frozen carpet.

All I rememebr was Palmer's punt return for TD. Did we blow a big lead in that game or is my memory failing me?

No. We won, 30-25. Trailed at the half. Took a 30-19 lead and made them use up clock to get it to a five-point game. We were never in danger of losing.
