Big 10 schedules for their top teams is a joke

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I flipped over to Fox yesterday and they showed OSU's schedule and several other teams. It was a joke compared to teams from the SEC.

Maybe Franklin will get the boys up to lose close to Ohio State again. Give them a tough game. Maybe Meatchicken can beat them for a 5th straight year.

The BIG 10 once again pulled a Houdini act on the SEC, provoking a reaction when none was necessary. The SEC was already competitive enough without adding Texas and Oklahoma. But now, Commissioner Sankey has taken the bait, agreeing to a nine game conference schedule a move that plays right into the BIG 10 hands.

All this does is make it harder for deserving SEC teams to make the 12 team playoff, while making the path easier for teams in other conferences. The SEC didn’t need to change. Now, it risks cannibalizing itself while others cruise in.

The decision is reversible...the AD's could force the SEC commish to rethink...but I doubt they will

Two things.

The Big Ten sucks and always has. It has always been a top heavy league. Go look at how many Big Ten titles Ohio State and Michigan have won, compared to the rest. So clearly, their schedule strength will always lag behind the SEC.

Secondly, I don’t think Sankey went to the 9 game schedule as a response to the whining that was coming from the Big Ten and Big 12. I think he did it for money. More TV inventory for ESPN. And I am not a Sankey fan at all.

The big boys don’t play each other, but Wisconsin’s next 5 games are
OHIO St
at Oregon
Washington
At Indiana
Illinois

probably the B1Gs five best teams, all in a row

The BIG front office must be staffed with lactose intolerant peeps and vegans. What a screw job on Wisconsin lol.
