3. Mississippi
4. Oregon
5. Ohio State
6. Georgia
7. Texas A&M
8. Texas Tech
9. Notre Dame
10. Texas
11. Brigham Young
12. Utah
13. Oklahoma
14. Vanderbilt
15. Virginia
16. Tulane
17. James Madison
18. North Texas
19. Navy
20. Old Dominion
21. Alabama
22. Illinois

24. Michigan
25. Iowa

I don't what kind of grudge this guy has against Bama but that is just ridiculous. We beat Vandy and then he has Tulane, JMU, North Texas, Navy and Old Dominion ahead of Bama. That is just crazy!

I've seen other "way too early preseason polls" and post NC polls and most of them have Bama ranked no higher than 12 and as low a 17th. Look, the reality is, our program has lost A LOT of respect from the college football world since Saban left and a lot of it has been earned. It is what it is. A program like Alabama is going to be under a microscope and held to a very high standard. We spent the better part of 16 years being the crown jewel, we were the"standard" of college football for that long. So when we rack up back to back four loss seasons and get blown out four times in two years on big stages. This is what happens. We need to go earn the respect back.

We got mauled in the FSU game. Made up for that then got blown out and looked completely inept in 2 of our last 3 games.

This after we got mauled to end the previous season and looked completely inept multiple times that year too.

We had issues bubbling to the surface at the end of Saban's time.....anxiety etc......we've now had a culture shift.

We've lost stature and respect and completely deserve it. Our last game was a 38-3 loss....that could have been worse. If Oklahoma doesn't implode in Norman, we lose that and never make it to the Rose Bowl.

The program is behind....in several areas. NIL money....behind.

DeBoer's 3rd year is where he earns his money. If they show up at any point and look unprepared / inept....he's gonna be on the hottest of hot seats. Losing is one thing, being completely unprepared is another.

With that said.....Go ARMY!!!

Our losses are always magnified 10 tenfold at Alabama, compared to any other school in college football, just because we're Alabama & that will always be the case..

I dont like it, buttttt, can understand why we're 21as well, we simply got outplayed & out coached in our losses..

You earn your ranking on the football field, that's bout right in all honesty..

8 spots behind the team that we beat in the playoffs. His assistant that did his top 25 needs to actually watch football.

We are definitely hated by the rest of the college football world. When you beat everyone to a pulp for decades they really start to hate you and they just can't hide it, even when many of the haters are "unbiased" journalists. What I don't understand why Bama is hated so much but Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan somehow escape the gut level nationwide hatred.

This is just asinine. Bama won a playoff game, for crying out loud. There's really no reason anyone should have them lower than 12. Texas Tech was shut out, by a team that also got blown out by the team that blew us out, and yet he still has them 8. Ridiculous.

The absolutely most meaningless poll of the year is the last one. Second to that, the pre-season one.

Top 25 football is what we play at Bama now. Still good, still going to win way more than we lose. It's not satisfying compared to a decade and a half of dominance. But the boat started taking on water in 2022, took on more in 2023, and now it's not a boat at all.

Bamas performance wasn't the sole determining factor in the win over Oklahoma, we had more points, and I was glad to get them, Oklahoma gave that game away they had more self inflicted wounds than bama did, neither team was setting the woods on fire.

They beat us once when we imploded and we beat them when they imploded. It's a wash. The other teams ahead of us like Vanderbilt, Old Dominion, JMU, Tulane?????? Bama fatigue/hatred no question.

At this point I’m kinda meh. We started over when the final seconds ticked off the clock Monday night in Miami.

What we do between now and the end of August to prepare for 2026 is what I’m concerned with. Not where the Navy coach placed us in the last poll of 2025.

A win is a win. If they wanna use that kind of conjecture to discredit Alabama's accomplishments, then they must do so across the board. Every team in the playoff field had at least 1 game like that. If they wanna make that case for Alabama v Oklahoma round 2, then they must also make that case about Alabama v Oklahoma round 1, where we handed them the game.
