I just had to shake my head at the officiating today.
This crew did a very poor job.
One of my biggest issues with officiating in bball these days is that say Team A is a very physical team and Team B is more up tempo and such.
The refs let team A play really physical but call fouls on Team B that they don't call on Team A and create unfair advantages.
Our guys did a really good job today of fighting thru that frustration today and pulling this game out.

Was at work during the game and watching the replay now. By all that’s holy, Dukey V is THE most irritating announcer in the history of sports. Grating voice, inane comments that add nothing to the broadcast, and gee Dick, tell us again what you think about the Bediako situation.
Since I'm certain you're referring to me among others, I didn't get a chance to watch Wednesday's game until Friday, so didn't weigh in on the thread given the board had moved on. Didn't get to watch today's game until tonight and really didn't watch it carefully enough to see if we've got some things ironed out or just had a better offensive day. But seriously, who wants to have a thread where it's all sunshine pumping? Last I checked, TideFans promotes even-handed discussion. RTR for the past two wins - no matter how you get them it's progress!

It’s a case that Euro pros are eligible but US pros are not. In fact, aren’t the current “college players” pros since they are being paid? It’s going to be interesting how that case is going to adjudicated. The NCAA needs to be absolved. They are rendered useless at this point.

Even-handed? Of course. But some of our people tend to be 80-90%+ negative. That is not even handed at all.
Negative posts are always welcome when balanced and even-handed with positive ones as well.
No one wants to read the same negative over and over. Our best posters are those that understand the balance.
So yes, we encourage even-handed discussion. From everyone.
I think Sankey backed them into a corner. Yes, let’s all follow the rules in all cases. No exceptions. No special circumstances. No arbitrary decisions. Follow your rules.
I’d like to understand how their guy drives the lane repeatedly and gets a call every time. Yet I saw two cases where they hacked Aden across the forearms and nothing. I’d get tossed from every game I’m afraid.
OR, they had other, more important things they had to do and they watched it afterward on a DVR and didn't post so they could enjoy it without knowledge of what had happened.
Did anybody during the game point out that in the first half Auburn had, IIRC, 13 points off of a bunch of Tide TOs?
That's not good basketball. It happened whether anybody posted about it or not. But, in the second half, we cleaned some of that up but winning had nothing to do with what someone is or is not posting.
It seems you are just advocating for people to post only when we are playing well.
Nope. You are way wrong. What I want from you and others is balance. If you can’t find it, I’d rather you stay out. If you can do both? Awesome. If you can’t then I’m fine with people DVRing and joining after.
We are NOT turning this into a Non-Sports clique of negative posters. We aren’t doing it. Want to do that, X has plenty of room for that.

So back to the game discussion.
Here's the thing. The positive things CNOs teams do are not what get you beat, it's the negative aspects. And, it's frustrating to not see these things fixed year after year. It's what limits the team. Rebounding, defense, and turnovers.
Love the Barn outcome but it's not even close if match rebounding especially clean up offensive rebounding numbers.
You'll have to excuse me but I was taught by a HOF coach that rebounding is fundamental and I won't get over that.
I'll take winning over losing any day though
Or how Sherrell gets the ball in deep and goes up and gets mugged by 3 ppl and it ends up a ball out of bounds or a turnover, never a foul.
Jemison for 2 straight games has become an offensive weapon for about 5-10 minutes. As his defense picks up he will keep growing. He is blocked for more minutes by Allen. But he’s coming along nicely.
I made a season complaint thread and stuck it at the top. Like Bazza’s non Bama thread we can have this one just be continuous.
