What she said was wrong, but she also didn't say "kill yourself." It's actually interesting that the article doesn't even mention what she actually said. And, trying to attach it to the assassination attempt is just silly![]()
Michael Goodwin: The Dems’ newest phrase in raging at the GOP is to go ‘Kill yourself’
In almost any other era, the hostile exchange between EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Democrat Rep. Rosa DeLauro would have been an instant embarrassment on Capitol Hill.nypost.com
I guess this qualifies as "resisting Trump".
She basically did - she responded "Maybe you should try doing that" to Zeldin after he said that one should not drink glyphosate. What she said was wrong, but she also didn't say "kill yourself." Sure, but she didn't. This is the exact stuff people do to Trump that conservatives, rightly, get mad about. She basically did - she responded "Maybe you should try doing that" to Zeldin after he said that one should not drink glyphosate.
you seriously consider that basically telling someone to kill themselves? She basically did - she responded "Maybe you should try doing that" to Zeldin after he said that one should not drink glyphosate.
It’s truly ridiculous the depth our ‘leaders’ have sunk to now. The kind of hateful rhetoric coming from both sides of the aisle should embarrass everyone who supports these clowns.Sure, but she didn't. This is the exact stuff people do to Trump that conservatives, rightly, get mad about.
It was in a heated exchange and quick back and forth. In context it's still not good! but its not what this article is making it out to be either.
Tie it to the assassination attempt???? All I saw this one sentence; "The timing of her outburst was especially awful, given the attempted assassination of President Trump and members of his cabinet at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner." I don't see how this "ties" anything except to note the unfortunate timing of her tirade around the same time as the assassination attempt. Nobody thinks they are related and no one has said they are related. What she said was wrong, but she also didn't say "kill yourself." We can agree to disagree on the purpose of that sentence if you'd like. But the intent to me is clear, it is to make her comments seem like something they aren't.Tie it to the assassination attempt???? Maybe a hot take but Reps in particular annoy me. Idk much about her, I'll admit, but I often find that the dumbest takes/quotes from politicians on capital hill often come from the House. It’s truly ridiculous the depth our ‘leaders’ have sunk to now. Which sentence are you referring to? "Maybe you should try doing that"? Yeah, I don't see that as telling someone to kill themself (even though drinking a glass of Glyphosate would likely be fatal). I posted the link to highlight how crazy this lady is. If she was not in Congress she would likely be in insane asylum. We can agree to disagree on the purpose of that sentence if you'd like. Also, Idk if in my original post I said tie and edited it or something but I said "attach" not "tie".
