Game Thread: CFP Playoff Game #1: #10 Indiana @ #7 Notre Dame (12/20 ABC 7p CT)

Proud to say I didn’t watch this game. I watched some of the first half of the 1966 game vs auburn on YouTube instead. It was fun to watch Snake connect with CRP for a long TD pass! The commercials were fun to watch too (Winston tastes good like a cigarette should LOL). Is anyone else watching...

What do you think of Bama finishing 9-3?

The 9-3 record is what it is. In a perfect world we’d be undefeated every year. I think the program is headed in the right direction.

Question: How to Improve O.T. in College Football???

Nobody will like this idea, but I think a team should be forced to go for 2 after scoring a late TD if that means they can take a one point lead after a successful 2 point attempt. If the 2 point attempt fails, it would provide an exciting conclusion similar to what we saw in the 1992...

Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. AU...

It was crucial for the offense to get a first down at a minimum after the INT from the halfback pass. Seeing our offense work well under pressure in that possession might be my favorite part of last night’s win. Even though it didn’t register any points, it drained lots of clock and pinned...

What are some games that Alabama was lucky or very fortunate to win?

I can’t comment on the other old threads, but I revived this one because I thought it would be fun to discuss the lucky wins of the past 3 seasons instead of participating in the anxiety about the future of the team. I listed the 4th and 31 game in my last post in this discussion. Which game...

What are some games that Alabama was lucky or very fortunate to win?

2021 Florida LSU Arkansas auburn 2022 Texas Texas A&M Ole Miss 2023 Texas A&M Arkansas auburn I don’t have the energy to comment on all of them. I’m not including the 2023 SEC champ game because the offense did what they had to do to run out the clock. That’s not luck, just a clutch...

Worst weather that Bama has played in

The 3-0 win over lsu in 1979 is another candidate for worst weather game. Great defense wasn’t the only reason for the win! As for brutally hot, for me personally I’ll have to go with 2003 vs. South Florida - our final game at Legion Field.

Bama Game Thread: Link to the LIVE Alabama Press Conference for Coach Kalen DeBoer (1/13 @ 1pm CT)

The PC went well I thought. If you’re looking for more CKD content, there’s some good stuff on youtube from his tenures at Sioux Falls and Fresno. Great hire!

    Who is Saban's replacement?

    GMac publicly endorsed him yesterday.

    Who is Saban's replacement?

I know he won’t be our next coach, but I’d like to see what Lance Leipold can do at a powerhouse program like ours. He won multiple national championships in division 3 and turned Buffalo and Kansas into respectable teams! I hope none of our conference rivals consider him to fill a coaching vacancy.

Question: “On my first day as the Czar Of College Football, I would…”

If holding on the offense and defensive pass interference take place on the same play, holding on the offense would take precedence over the DPI, and the DPI would not be enforced.

Alabama's best played game in the Nick Saban era?

2014 vs. Texas A&M. No team in the country was gonna beat us on that day!

Should Conference Title Games Be Axed?

Should they? Yes. Will they? No.

This has to be Saban's best coaching job

I would say 2020 was his best coaching job due to Covid difficulties and all SEC schedule. A national title this year would top 2020.

Seriously, WHY do we always play like that in JHS?

The most intense atmosphere in college football is our biannual game there. The intensity is driven by their fans’ hatred of all things Crimson Tide WAY more than passion for their own team.

    Favorite thrilling victory vs. auburn?

Jordan Battle is an unsung hero of the 2021 game. He lured Tank Bigsby to run out of bounds AND prevented him from getting a first down at the same time. Bigsby’s time management error wasn’t unforced. It was also great D by Battle!

    Favorite thrilling victory vs. auburn?

I’ve seen way too many people in the media try to compare Saturday night’s Bama victory to that game from 10 years ago, so I thought it might be interesting to see how 4th and 31 stacks up to other thrilling victories vs. auburn. Which one is your favorite? Which one was the most difficult to...
