    Volleyball- improving

It feels like the one program that has really struggled to be competitive the past 10-12 years has been volleyball. But, I think that could slowly be changing. The ladies went 5-10 in the SEC and are the 12 seed in the "renewed" SEC Tournament that was last played from 1979-2005. Love that it's...

    Soccer-2025

Excited to see what Coach Hart and the ladies are able to do this year. Leading goal scorer Gianna Paul is back for her Sr year and I read that our returning talent is 3rd best in the SEC. The league is so strong a .500 record in SEC play pretty much guarantees an NCAA bid. Love that we are...

    Softball

A very nice start to the season in the desert. While the AZ game was ugly (nothing seemed to go well for us pitching, offense, or defense) the two wins over ranked Washington were great. The bats were much hotter than I expected in the majority of the games as well.

    Softball 2025-expectations?

I think Jocelyn Briski is ready to take the step up as the Ace of the staff and if the transfers can add some pop to the lineup, a return trip to OKC is certainly doable. Of course, I'm the eternal optimist!! Excited for games to start up tomorrow.

End of season for WSOC- Ready for Womens' Hoops!

Besides having the utmost respect for how Wes Hart has taken the WSOC program to a new level, being a contender in hte SEC and making the NCAA tourney a regular occurrence, I love the fact he's a straight shooter. In his post match comments after we got dominated 4-1 by the Gamecocks he just...

WSOC versus USC tonight at the beach

12th seeded Alabama battles 4th seeded South Carolina tonight on the SEC network. After upsetting the 5th seed Commodores I think our RPI jumped to the low 70's but I think it would take a win tonight AND one more to truly be considered for an NCAA berth. Future remains bright though- team is...

WSOC completes Regular Season-Ready for Pensacola

After a nice 3-1 win over the Gators in the home finale, I was hoping we'd be able to improve our SEC tourney seeding in Nashville yesterday, but a 1-0 lead turned into a 3-1 defeat in the last 15 minutes. That means (from what I can tell) we'll be the 9, 10, or 11 seed and play this coming...

    WSOC gets first SEC win

After yet another draw on the road against AU, the ladies had maybe their best defensive performance of the season in the 1-0 win Sunday night. With the very strange record of 1-1-5 we are still poised for a top 5-6 seed if we can win our last 3. USC and Vandy on the road and FLA at home will be...

    Big win for Volleyball

The ladies beat UGA yesterday in a 5 set thriller for their first SEC victory. They REALLY needed that. When you look at the entire athletic dept, VB is the only program that has really struggled over the past decade. Since the run of Judy Green and Ed Allen ended in 2015? it's been tough sledding.

    WSOC could use a win

If you read the recaps on rolltide.com, you have to appreciate how Coach Hart tells it like it is. Last week after the 4th straight conference game draw, he said "if we get a win at home versus UK, we'll be fine" UK dominated the first half and while we played much better in the 2nd half (with a...

    WSOC Roll Tied

Starting conference play with 4 straight draws has to be a record of sorts. The one against Mizzou last week was the one that I think disappointed Coach Hart the most. As he has pointed out, it's not a lack of effort at all. He said postgame yesterday "get a win at home against UK Friday night...

    Solid start to SEC Soccer

I have to say, I miss OT in soccer but I understand the reasoning of not having extra long matches for college aged folks. That said, a pair of 2-2 draws to start SEC play is not that bad. Especially since one was against a top 15 undefeated TEX squad and then last night against a really good...

Soccer starts SEC play Thursday 9/19

The ladies completed non conference play 7-2. The opening road loss to TCU can be forgiven but that 0-1 loss to winless Michigan stings a bit. Chalking it up to just a bad day after a solid W over Purdue. The way they bounced back last Friday over LA Tech was good to see. Texas and Tennessee are...

Soccer back in the rankings at #24

We've rattled off 6 straight wins after the opening match loss to TCU. Defense has really come together and last night it showed in a 1-0 win over Purdue. It was on Big10+ so I didn't watch, but it sounds like a very good performance. Sunday in Ann Arbor against the Wolverines and then back...

Soccer checks in at #20 preseason

On paper, this should be another STRONG season for Wes Hart and the ladies. Plenty of returning scorers and we're starting to get those transfers that make a difference.

    Softball-Knoxville Super Regional

It worked last week to start a new thread for good luck, so I'm doing it again. Counting our new neighbors from out West, 9 of the 16 slots are from the SEC. Wouldn't be surprised to see 5/6 make it to OKC. I kinda feel like FSU and Arizona were a bit down this year, but they've made it and we...

    Softball- Tuscaloosa Regional

Hosting yet again as the 14 seed, helped by a top 16 RPI. On paper, should win and travel to Rocky Top to face 3 seed UT.

    Softball SEC Tournament

Hoping a new thread brings good luck. LSU vs Bama this morning at 10 am local- LSU has had a disappointing season as well, but their strength is their offense so The Beav needs to have one of her very best games. Looking forward to it!

    Gymnastics SEC Championship this weekend

Tide is ranked 7th n the nation but only the 4th seed at the SEC championships this weekend. And, for what seems like the 10th straight year, UGA can't seem to even win a meet. I know we want to get back to winning National Championships, but at least we aren't the Bulldogs. Have to believe they...

WBB grab #4 seed 23-8 record

I promise I'm not related to Coach Curry, but I'm hoping she wins SEC COTY. I know she has been here awhile now, but the depths of the program when she took over- we have come a long ways. Best overall and SEC record since the 90's. She deserves it-and in the deepest WBB conference in the country.
