The INTENT of the rule is good, but when it can be overturned to allow the player to stay in the game, the penalty for targeting should be overturned, too! If it wasn't "targeting", it wasn't a penalty at all. Gonna be bad when it costs someone a win in a close game.

45-17 now. Guess it was a tall order to think a 3-win team could beat the Ducks! Holding out for Stanford, Oregon St, or USC/UCLA in the Pac-12 CG. Still don't think they go undefeated.

Didn't play much on TV back then, so my first game was in person was at age 7 in Legion Field vs TCU in 1975 and we won 45-0. I can still remember Coach Bryant leaning against the goal post in his traditional pre-game fashion! Made me a fan for life!!
