The State of NCAA -- Leadership Missing

Not exactly the most consistent with punishment they handed out, either. NCAA had their chance and proved they weren’t worthy to be a sanctioning body. Needs to be shut down and replaced completely.

    Coaching carousel 2025-26

A possibility, but a good head coach and OC would’ve gotten control of the situation if Ty wasn’t making good changes.

Saban would’ve snatched a knot in him for some of the goofs he’s made this year and wouldn’t have waited until a game is over before doing it.

After worst postseason loss in Alabama history, the Tide are on the wrong side of a 'fine line' under Kalen DeBoer

I would hope DeBoer is smart enough to know he is likely coaching for his job next season and that the current OL situation won’t fly three years in a row. If a new OL coach isn’t announced soon, there needs to be a change at HC at the end of next season. If I were in Byrne’s shoes, I’d have...

Yep. If I were him and Bama is expected to have one of the best O lines in college football like the last two years, I’d be looking somewhere else, too. The exodus of some offensive linemen also makes me wonder if DeBoer is looking to keep the current OL coach.

If this is the case, it is one more red flag among several others. A head coach has to balance delegation and micromanagement. From the outside looking in, I see the delegation from DeBoer but not seeing him digging into the problems the team has been having. Having the REC addressed by a...

And supposedly he wants smaller offensive line across the board, so get ready for more of what we’ve seen the last two years.

The way Kiffin left OM made me realize he wasn’t a good choice for us.

It wasn’t a problem in the Tennessee game. It was a problem against OU, again against UGA and tonight.

AD should’ve marched him back in front of the cameras and made him answer questions instead of the usual junk he puts out there. If us fans have to be embarrassed about this, he needs to get a dose himself and not weasel away from tough questions.

Getting rid of him now isn’t an option. Byrne needs to tell him to be in his office tomorrow morning at 0500 and find out why the team was so poorly prepared and which assistant coaches are going to be replaced. If the correct answers aren’t given, DeBoer put on notice that he’s coaching for...

DeBoer honestly should resign after this debacle. Pathetic preparation, pathetic play calling and the worst beating we’ve taken in years. He’s standing on the sidelines like he’s daydreaming about spending his next paycheck. This man is not a good coach because it takes time to set up to fail...

After this embarrassment, I doubt the boosters will allow a fourth year and rightfully so.

He’s proven that he doesn’t have the demeanor to sharpen players into a football team. If they reward this performance by giving him an extension the AD needs to be gone, too.

He knew this was a problem after getting embarrassed by FSU, but just that quickly he reverted back to his old ways. He’s getting paid enough to not keep getting beat the same way twice in the season.

If the OL coach is still there next year, it needs to be DeBoer’s last year. If the AD doesn’t want to get fired, he’s probably going to force changes with the assistants. If DeBoer doesn’t like it, he can go back to a smaller school that doesn’t care if they win or not.

Seeing him fired after one season in Tuscaloosa might not be the worst thing in the world, either.

I agree. All on DeBoer in not recognizing poor OL play last year and making a coaching change then, but Grubb isn’t exactly helping out, either.

JessN: Indiana Preview: The Search for Analogs as Bama Goes Against an Unfamiliar Foe

I hope so. Two games we played in during the rain caught the staff unaware and it took too long for the players to get their shoes changed.
