Markus Manson's name has a nice ring to it, but it's his talent that makes him easy to remember.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Manson did nothing to diminish his billing as the state's top running back prospect over the summer. In fact, after a stellar showing at the Nike Camp at Auburn in June, he emerged as one of the top running back prospects in the nation.

"I had a good camp," said Manson. "I went down to Auburn in good condition, and I feel like I performed well."

That may be the biggest understatement of the summer. Consider these Manson accomplishments at the Nike Camp:

He was clocked in 4.37 seconds in the 40-yard dash, one of the best times among the more than 200 participants that came from Alabama, Georgia and Florida and as far away as California.

His 39.2-inch vertical leap was tops.

His 4.01 time in the shuttle was second-best overall.

He was named top running back prospect in the camp and MVP overall.
